From a recent vacation: Incoming to TVC from ORD, I found their desk very easily. I checked in with the lady there, who was very friendly, and easily got my car. Only wait time I had, I went just down the hall to the baggage claim, and everything was done by then. On return, same lady, and just as easy. Bit of a line that time, but nothing unreasonable for any airport. Great price using my accommodations through American Airlines, and everything I needed.

Maintenance Anyone? Car I reserved was unavailable so I was "upgraded" to a Jeep Compass. 9000 miles and it had been in a front end collision and had a shimmy between 5 and 25 mph. I became concerned when it died 3 times while driving though. Turns out it had NO OIL. Added the only quart available at the nearest gas station but was still 2 quarts low. All they said to me was, "I find that hard to believe" No reimbursement as I didn't get a receipt, my fault there. Not believing me was a lot more offensive

Great car, no issues there. This location seemed understaffed, as there was one person working and it took her about 10 minutes to come to the counter, with a coutenance that indicated WE were bothering HER. Additionally, we experienced a flight cancellation that resulted in the need to drive to a different airport 3.5 hours away, so I had no choice but to change my drop-off location. I was charged a $100 change fee. I'm not expecting it to be free, but I'd be more impressed by a car rental company BASED OUT OF AN AIRPORT that would be more sympathetic to common air travel issues (like flight cancellations, delays, etc). I will not be using this company again.

Rented a Mini Van for 10 days in November 2018 out of Traverse City Airport, had a flat tire on day 8 and had to change vehicles at another Budget Rental Agency. 45 Days later, we get a charge on our Credit Card for $211. Seriously, $211 for a 16" tire that can be purchased for less than $75.00 at any Walmart in the US! These folks are business crooks. Stay Clear of Budget.

I would have given it 0 stars if I could. Older parents returned vehicle. It was inspected and they were told no damage. they paid and left. 2 months later they received notice the tire had a bulge and they charged them 183.00 for “repair” of tire. A bulge in a tire indicates a defective tire over which they had no control. I truly believe this was a scam. Don’t rent from these people. They were rude on phone and when asked to speak to someone higher up like a manager the woman just hung up. The car was literally picked up from the airport driven to their home and sat until the next morning when the car was returned directly to airport. SCAMMERS! BEWARE sometimes cheapest can result in LOT more money in the long run.
