Life Saver

Thank God Dixons was located in Kemptville, ontario. I booked a car with Enterprise in Kempville, which does not exist and should be removed from the rental list. showed up at enterprise to pick car up. no car and lady on phone did not give a crap, said you have booked way earlier and they are not bring a car from Brockville. Kempville Ontario does not have Taxis or Buses so i asked for another rental company, they (enterprise rep) said there is not one. Lied. so a clerk from a dealership told me about Dixons. Well it was around the corner and the best service i have had in rental company. Very helpful, reasonably priced and help find Hotel ect. I highly recommend Dixons rental, especially if you have any questions. they were very transparent and honest in recommendations and disappointed that their neighbor rental would rather leave someone walking around Kempville with luggage, no rental or place to stay than mention Dixons. Shame on Enterprise, but great for Dixons

In the wake of an accident that left my car totalled, Dixon's made it possible for me to easily rent - and continue to extend the length of term I was renting it for - a vehicle that kept me going til I was able to buy a new car, without any hassles or extra charges. Thanks so much Dan!

The local rental fleet consists of hundreds of late model vehicles, from compact, mid-size and full-size cars, to minivans, pickup trucks and sport utilities, to cargo vans, cube trucks and 12/15 passenger vans, so we're sure to have the perfect vehicle for your needs and budget. They offer very competitive rental rates, as well as weekly, monthly, and weekend specials. They also specialize in the corporate and insurance replacement business. The new Commercial Rentals division specializes in long term rentals for trades and industry. The fleet includes 1500 / 2500 / 3500 extended and crew cab trucks, 5500 flat deck & dump trucks, full-size SUVs, 12/15 passenger vans, cargo vans, and cube trucks. They also offer rentals of ATVs, sleds/snowmobiles, trailers, and more, and back it all up with extras like no-charge scheduled maintenance; delivery, relocation and logistics support; and hassle free damage repairs.

Although I have not personally used Dixon's, I have witnessed first-hand the incredibly poor service they provide. My friend needed a car to get to work from Wednesday through Friday, and so he made arrangements to pick up a car on Tuesday before closing. On Tuesday afternoon, he received an email from Dixon's saying that they had given his car to someone else and that he would now have to pick up the car on Wednesday morning at 8am, despite the fact that his work day starts at 6:30am. To our disbelief, when I went to drop my friend off at 8am on Wednesday morning, there was a sign on the door saying "gone until 9:30." Finally, he picked up his car later that day after missing out on a full day of pay. As we were justifiably dissatisfied with the service Dixon's provided up to this point, we left negative reviews on Facebook and Google. Unbelievably, after seeing these reviews, Dixon's called my friend and demanded he bring back the car immediately because he had slandered them on social media. Since my friend was intimidated by their threat of revoking the rental, we temporarily took down our reviews. Not only was this threat an attempted breach of contract, but it goes to show the absolute disrespect Dixon's shows their costumers. I urge everyone to seek out other rental options, as the hassle and disrespect you will receive from Dixon's is simply not worth it.
