I was stranded in Timmins when my vehicle broke down and I needed a rental to get home. I had been driving for 8 hours before that and had my dog with me. I called ahead and they informed me that dogs were allowed. When I arrived, the receptionist would not even look at me or say anything to me. The manager stormed out of his office and was visibly very angry. He actually yelled at me and was furious at me for bringing my dog, saying that they do not allow dogs! It's fine if that's their policy, however the manager did not need to treat me that way. It wasn't my fault and I even called ahead. The manager or the employee did not apologize. It was the worst experience! I ended up going to Enterprise car rental, and they were just wonderful!! Thank goodness.
