The agent at the counter was super cool! He was very knowledgeable about the nuts and bolts of renting a car and gave accurate info to help us make the best decisions for the best result(for example we could return our car to airport for flat fee of $25.00 instead of at that location..yes!!)He gave us some tourist advise(ie: must see places, places to avoid, traffic tips) and even was kind enough to look for a lost item when we called later.(lost item located elsewhere thankfully) Next trip to Austin will rent here again!

Have rented there twice to save lots vs from the airport (take a Lyft from the Allegiant terminal) Fast and helpful esp with Fastbreak although there was a big line of people that came right behind and they only have room to help 1 person at a time.

Horrible experience! I made a reservation on the national line. I was told I could rent a car with my debit card as I don't have a credit card. I was also a soft credit check would be done but I just needed to pay a deposit on my debit card plus the actual cost of the rental. I make it all the way there and I immediately could by the look of they guy was a jerk. He just exudes "I hate my job, my life and all of you for being here!" He was so unegaged and going through the motions it was almost rude. In this tiny but crowded space he asks for my social security number which I write down and hand to him for him to tell me my credit wasn't good enough I couldnt get a car. No offer of alternate solution. No apologies. So I leave and call Enterprise and the lady immediately tells me in Austin it's standard practice if you have an out of state drivers license (I was there visiting from NYC) you cant rent a car without a credit card regardless of credit score. She told they don't even run a credit check. She told me I could get a car at the airport with my debit card as long I had a return ticket. So, the next day I went to the airport Enterprise and got me a nice 2 day rental for less than the Budget price plus a free upgrade as they were out of the class I reserved.
