During my sojourn in Medicine Hat, I stopped by here a few times - for what I was looking for, there wasn't much of a selection, but the prices were quite good. I remember buying from here my first or so visit, then always being disappointed by how they didn't have anything interesting. Still, I liked it here - props to the friendly service too.

If you're going to rate this place on the decore, atmosphere, smell, product availability, you'd give it 1 star and also be a complete douchebag. If you're going to rate this place on the pricing (side note: Salvation Army, it's 50¢ not .50¢), business mission, location, dedication of staff, then you'll give this place 5 stars. Which, in my opinion, is what it deserves.

I don't know what happened to this place in the last year. It is filthy. They need to hire a janitor or something. They need to vacuum seriously. They need to clean. It is the worst thrift store I've ever walked into in terms of cleanliness of the floor / carpet. Otherwise, their prices are good and staff are friendly. They need a mirror or two on the main level so people don't have to wait for the two available fitting rooms. If you just want to try on an outer clothing piece like a sweater or jacket, some other mirrors in the main area would save time. But above all, please clean the place up. If other Salvation Army thrift stores can do it, then why is this place so badly taken care of?
