I recently purchased the Grant sectional in Falcon Grey and everything from the customer service down to the product exceeded my expectations. Kavuus was on my radar for awhile but when I discovered all their products are Canadian made with the best quality on the market I was convinced but what really sold it to me was their customer service. I am currently located in Edmonton and was trying to sort out timelines as we recently purchased a new home and customer service was very attentive in meeting our requests and even had everything shipped and delivered to us in a timely manner. We even had a last minute request to change an item and they were more than happy to accommodate our request and with quick shipping (4 business days) our sectional arrived and I have to be the first to admit that I did not expect the quality to be as outstanding as it is. Furniture is one of those purchases we don't make very often and with Kavuus you are getting exceptional quality which you can tell is Canadian and not cheaply made and shipped from overseas. Something to strongly consider when making a large purchase like we did :) I will be purchasing all our furniture from Kavuus from now on and highly recommend at the very least checking their products out.

I recently discovered kavuus online and requested swatches which promptly arrived. I selected a gorgeous green velvet and ordered the Lamont sectional. I didn’t receive an immediate order confirmation (which would be helpful). I was emailed a week later indicating it would take 8-10 weeks to receive the couch which is pretty standard. A week after that I was told they were out of the fabric and I wouldn’t receive my couch until late January or February (a 4 month wait 😩). The wait time is really disappointing. I hope it’s worth it! Will update rating once I receive it . . . next year.

I ordered Ridley Cabinet and the Finley sectional. As some have mentioned below, I was told my couch would take 8-10 weeks for delivery. The time came and I didn't hear a word. I live in an apartment, and I paid for the "curbside" delivery - not knowing that basically meant "dropping on the corner of the street" (I assumed it meant - they would not assemble the furniture on your behalf). When I asked if they would deliver another 50 feet into my apartment I was told it would be another $200! Finally, they agreed to charging me +$100. The Finley was delivered, and on the second day, a button cushion fell off. The Ridley - the opening "flap" - when opened is crooked and unstable. I've sent them an email to find out what they will do to fix the problem - but for the money I've spent I am very unhappy with the quality and service!

I ordered the Grant sectional with customizations back in March. Modified the measurements, the legs and requested the cushions be removable. I was told this could all be completed no problem. I was show previous images of similar jobs but all info captured over an email string. The couch was supposed to be done in June, but with no communication and me following up it came a month later (apparently being held up in QC ironically). It arrives with legs that are too tall...the couch was clearly too high. My feet wouldn’t touch the floor and I’m 5’9”. In addition, the cushions were almost 2” too deep adding to the problem. They almost tried to charge me for replacement legs, but this couch was coming in at $4k and is supposed to be custom so I say no way. I also tell them that their piping work is horrible. Wavy and pulled and looks awful for a couch that is this expensive. They ask for measurements from me for the seat cushions, I send them and it takes them a month to get the replacements in. The chaise cushion is created in the wrong orientation so it’s useless. They’re apologetic but the incompetence is now very evident. A little over a month later they get the right cushion in. It fits well. So 7 months to get this finished to a state of 80% satisfaction. The couch is nice...generally built well. The back cushions aren’t what they show in pictures online. And one of the cushions has a “V” in it which I’ve raised several times but has been overlooked and never addressed. Piping on these cushions are hit and miss per my earlier note. The base cushion sides out with nothing designed to prevent it. So you’re always having to push the cushion back in place. Every single one of these issues could have been solved with more effective quality control and a well documented order process. At this price, you expect exceptional workmanship and service. Based on the number of errors with this order and their ability to deliver in a reasonably timely manner, it’s clear Kavuus has some considerable issues to work out to compete in this space. The customization process lacks clear documentation and their ability to manage customer expectations is poor. They do try to resolve issues/complaints when YOU call them and they’re apologetic, but at the end of it all, you want to feel like this was worth it. With all the issues I’ve had with this couch, I simply should have looked elsewhere, saw what I was buying and probably would have saved myself a few months and $1000.

I had some issues with a previous order and talked to Jason at Kavuus regarding it. Jason was most helpful and they sent out replacement units. The sofas are very well crafted and the materials are top notch. If not for the initial problems, which Jason was more than happy to address, I would give a 5 star rating.
