My wife and I recently had the pleasure of visiting to Sager's fine furniture in Victoria, what and amazing store, and in such a beautiful building. With the help of Bob we choose a linen couch. The couch was delivered in a timely manner and has become our most treasured piece of furniture. Thanks to Bob and his team, we look forward to our next purchase...

Great building in a great location. Was greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable staff and was amazed at how well the furniture was laid out on each floor. Thoroughly enjoyed shopping for furniture at Sager's.

Over the years, I have bought some great pieces from Sagers and have loved them long after I brought them into my home...they really do have the best quality pieces and the service is relaxed and friendly. Sager's is the best in Victoria if you want quality and service.

I have been a very satisfied customer of Sager’s for over 35 years. In fact, virtually all of the furniture in my home has been purchased there. I find that the furniture is of a very high quality, but most importantly, the owners are on site every day, and they and the staff are experienced, knowledgable and very service oriented. When you have sold furniture, and top lines, as long as they have, you have an expertise that I find I can rely on. Countless times I have come in to just look for some item I think I may need and the sales folks are so knowledgable that I find I leave with just the right piece for me, and my home, and feel very satisfied, in fact, delighted. I recently purchased a new home, and found that dated and older styles just did not suit. The folks at Sager"s have been very professional, helpful, and so knowledgeable that i have avoided the wrong selections, and now my home is coordinated, up to date, and the quality of the furniture, which really matters to me, is just great. Often I find that expensive furniture may not necessarily be the best choice, and these guys will tell me frankly, what would best go, and why. I also appreciate the fact that their products are not off shore, cheaply made pieces, and they have a lot of books they can refer to if i need to select a "just right” piece. So I have recommended Sagers many times to friends and family, and everyone tells me how pleased they have been. Its not a huge store, but really is a secret. When you spend the kind of money you need to spend to have a nice home, I just feel you need quality, sound experienced advice, and all those years of experience they possess. I am extremely pleased, with every single item I have purchased at Sager"s, and very much recommend them.

This is a very serious criticism of Sager’s furniture in Victoria BC and its owner Bob Coltart. When I arrived in Victoria, in 2010, I went to Sager’s and met Bob Coltart. Bob strongly recommend the bedroom suite that I purchased; Bob strongly recommended the dining room suite that I purchased. I grew to trust and like Bob. I suppose that is a mistake when dealing with any salespeople. In the end I spent between $50,000 and $60,000 at Sager’s. One of the items I purchased was a leather sofa that cost $9600.00 after tax. I told Bob that I wanted the leather sprayed for protection and he told me that this kind of leather cannot be sprayed. After a couple of years I notice the leather was getting black in certain areas. Bob came out, and without hesitation identify the black marks as dye transfer, from my clothes. Bob suggested that I could have the areas covered with replacement leather however, I would have to pay for it, the leather may not match, and the dye transfer would continue to happen. This was no solution at all. I wanted a replacement sofa, Bob refused so I commenced a small claims court action. Given that retailers work on a 100% mark-up I expect that Bob paid $4500.00 for the sofa however, has spent more than that on defending my claim. When this finally comes to the Supreme Court of BC the judge will want to know why this little claim is in front of the court. Moreover, this will cost Bob $20,000 to defend. So when dealing with Sager’s understand that they may not stand behind their products and in my opinion the owner's decision to spend up to $20,000 over a $4500 item was less than rational. We have a letter from the owner's lawyer stating that Sager's will not offer anything to settle this matter. So when dealing with Sager’s understand that the owner is not entirely rational and understand that they will not stand behind the products they sell. When I reminded Bob Coltart that I had spent over $50,000 he told me that a customer up island had spent several hundred thousand. Implying the amount that I spent was not meaningful. Buyers beware of Sager’s.
