My parents in law were return customers to DC Furniture store. They've bought two beds, a sofa/loveseat set and a replacement for that sofa/loveseat set over 10 years later. The second set is where it all went wrong. The sofa and loveseat are poorly designed and have leather stretched tightly where there is a seam. Within the first two days one of the seams burst on one side of the sofa and the other side looked like it was starting to give out. The loveseat was almost just as bad. They called DC Furniture to let them know about the problem but they claimed that there's nothing wrong with the couches and that there was nothing they could do. After many calls and arguments they finally agreed to send someone to have a look. The guy they sent couldn't find the house and called for directions. My wife helped guide him to the house and when he arrived he decided to yell at her and tell her that the street they live on is not the one provided. I don't know how you can argue with a street sign or every letter or parcel that's made it to the house but apparently he knows where they live better than they do. When he finally looked at the couch he immediately blamed the family for damaging the couch. They did not move them, don't have pets or kids, and don't jump up and down on them. They are couches. They sit on them. He still would not take them back. After much arguing, he finally agreed to send a repairman. When the repairman arrived, he would only patch one of the 4 seams for free and charged $50 to patch the other 3 "because they hadn't fully burst yet". He did a terrible patch job and said if they burst again that he'd come back to fix them for free. Less than a month later the really bad one burst again. He came back to fix it and my mother in law asked that he use a bigger patch but he refused because "that would look ugly". A few months pass and the seams burst again. They try calling the repairman but he no longer picks up (several attempts over a month or two and left a voice message). They use a different number to call and he picks up with the excuse of being on vacation. Now he says that it's not fixable because the design of the couch is too tight (in other words a defective couch) and will not come back. Needless to say we won't be going back to DC Furniture again.
