I move into my new apartment and arrange the furniture in a way that I thought would optimally bring about or coax out my best self from murky depths, like somehow the placement of my bookcase relative to my dresser would be a magic portal or an arrangement of glyphs on a druid's obelisk, a gateway through which my soul shines. Later, I am very deliberate when making morning coffee. Inspired by monks and sushi chefs, I listen to the twinkle and splish of coffee against mug and then more coffee. My mug rests on a teak table, lit by a oynx-coloured lamp the shape of a red delicious apple that had just transformed into gooey caramel and had begun drooping from its stem. [Off-white lampshade included. $20].

Great deals on gently used hotel items... And they're being re-purposed! Of course mattresses in a hotel are the items overly used in hotels, the rest of the furniture isn't really used much at all. Some items have a little wear, have to look through things... But found a like-new chaise lounge for $150. Always find great deals and family-run business is very friendly, nice to their customers. Worth the trip and the nice service will make you return again.
