On February 21, 2017 I took receipt of my new Simmons sofa bed. Less than one year later I am very disappointed with this sofa. The cushions are permanently flattened and misshapen and the fabric is showing creases and is developing pills. When I went to the store to complain I was blamed for the condition of the sofa. According to Mr. David Reid I was guilty of: • not turning the cushions over often enough • sitting in the same place too often • and not understanding that a sofa bed is built differently than other sofas (and therefore the cushions get stuck in the frame) UPDATE: Today the store sent someone to replace the foam in the cushions. Thank you. It looks much better. Follow up. Although it took quite some time, the problem with the cushions on the sofa bed was resolved. Sandra Dean, who sold me the sofa came to my house on her day off to assess the situation. She agreed that there was a problem with the sofa cushions and offered to send the service technician to find a solution. After a few attempts, the technician found a reasonable solution that I am happy with. Sandra Dean should be commended for going above and beyond what one might expect, Mark, the service technician was very professional and patient with helping to get the right solution. Although it was a bit late coming, I was happy to have received a call from Mr. James Reid, offering an apology. I believe that he was genuinely sorry for all that had happened and has followed up on a couple of occasions to ensure that I am happy with the results. I appreciate all that was done to resolve the issue. Thanks to all who helped.

We've had excellent service from Daphne and Brad at the 1880 John Counter Blvd. location. On our first visit to James Reid, Daphne welcomed us and described the various showrooms within the store. We were free to browse at our own speed, although she was nearby for questions. Once we selected a potential sofa, Daphne displayed samples of alternate fabric that could be used. After a short conversation about the interior of our house, she instinctively knew what types of fabrics and colours we might like. We were so impressed by her recommendations and the well-made furniture, we then looked for carpets and a bedframe. Brad was introduced to us and, for a nominal fee, came to our house and spent three hours providing design advice. This in-home service was extremely helpful. We definitely recommend Daphne, Brad and James Reid Furniture.

My experience at James Reid Furniture has been phenomenal. I was instantly greeted but not bombarded by the staff which was comforting. The experience was exceptional and the customer service followed up by the delivery guys was pleasant. I’d recommend James Reid Furntifure with confidence to anyone looking for both quality furniture and good customer service.
