I don’t like posting negative reviews—especially about small, local, woman-owned businesses—but I feel it’s important to share my experience. I placed an order with Rhonda Kirk at Home Décor & More (Owen Sound) in late November 2025 with a firm deadline: delivery by Dec 3 for a Dec 5 move-in. This was for my elderly mother, and all details were clearly communicated and IN WRITING. On Dec 3, only part of the order arrived; I was told the pullout sofa would be one week late. The second delivery set for Dec 11 never happened. After that, my calls, emails, and texts to cancel the undelivered item (about $2,000) went unanswered. I visited the store during posted hours and found it closed. I had to purchase a replacement elsewhere. I was ultimately reimbursed, which I appreciate. But the missed dates and lack of communication caused avoidable stress. During this time I heard from DOZENS of other people with similar stories. Former employees of Rhonda's contacted me with sympathy and apologies — they had witnessed this type of nonsense so often. Evidently the Owen Sound Police have been involved in matters to do with this woman on many occasions. I highly recommend that you do NOT work with this woman, or Home Decor and More.

Sold item claiming new but came damaged. Asked Ronda many times to make it right she ghosted me. Left me with damaged vanity. Buyers beware..

I ordered tables from her and paid in FULL back on November 26th and told they would be in for pick up in a couple of weeks. I contacted her on December 18th and she said they were delayed until the 27th. I contacted her on the 28th to arrange pick up and were told they wouldn’t be there until January 6th. I waited until January 16th to contact yet again and then I was told they would late… again and would be in on the 20th. I still have yet to receive my tables and now she is no longer responding to messages or returning my calls even though I have paid in full. I do not recommend ordering from her and if you do I wouldn’t pay until you know the item is in stock and ready for pick up. Waiting almost 3 months for an item that I was told would be a few weeks is frustrating but the most frustrating part is the lack of response when someone already has my money. UPDATE- I asked for a refund Tuesday February 10th. She told me that she couldn’t refund me because she had already paid for the tables and asked me to wait yet again… another week. I told her that I wanted my money back and I wasn’t willing to yet again be mislead by her. She is no longer responding to me and I still have no refund. UPDATE-(February 18th) still no tables, still no refund, still no responses to calls or messages. UPDATE-(March 7th) still no tables, still no refund, still no responses to call or messages.

We ordered a couch , love seat & ottoman & could not be happier ! We had it delivered and the delivery was flawless, they even set it up where we wanted everything. Rhonda has been wonderful to deal with as well as her staff . Edit: we were in the middle of putting these couch covers on when the photo was taken just to keep them in great condition with our dog and baby.

I recommend avoiding purchasing from this business especially if Rhonda offers you a cash deal to avoid paying taxes. My mom, 72 years old, cash purchased a dining room coffee table from Rhonda’s Home Decor store in November, was handed a hand-written note with a fictitious tracking number and has NOT received her coffee table and it’s Feb 20th. Each time my mom has stopped into the store the associate makes up excuses that she’s not here, just missed her, her day off etc, and any phone calls with voicemails left have gone unanswered. Very unprofessional and up-setting that Rhonda is avoiding returning my mom’s phones calls or delivering her the coffee table; and now my mom is out a little over $700.
