Always a great spot for a family day at the beach. Smaller, quieter and less 'beach cheese' than the large main beach makes it far more inviting for those who just want to relax instead of trying to recreate the volleyball scene from Top Gun. The beach has a nice shallow area with the only complaint being the border of crushed shells along the water's edge but it's a minor complaint that doesn't hinder the experience much.

Excellent beach for children. Nice clear water. Tons of parking. Bathroom facilities are of the Port-a-Potty type, but they are well maintained. Beautiful scenery everywhere and very quiet from traffic and city. When we went the water was very calm and warm. Clean beach and clean water is what makes this beach a great spot to go on a warm summer day. Large shallow areas make it great for toddlers. With the small waves makes it safe as well. Highly recommended for a young family.

Nice. Clean. Can go far and it's not deep. Good for kids but it gets packed fast. Free parking. No life guard. It gets the shade first when sun going down so if you want sun late in the day go to big beach I stead.
