We are big fans of Mobilia and have purchased two couches over the years from this location. However a few weekends ago we were in need of another couch and our initial action was to go to Mobilia. As we wandered the store looking for a couch to actually purchase no one approached us. Staff was not busy with other customers just busy among themselves. Even when we approached a sales person they seemed to be not interested in helping. Therefore we did another walk around the store and decided to go and purchase somewhere else. Very disappointed.

First of all, it's not my nature to give 5 stars because I am a brutal critic of everything I experience in the retail environment. We were a little apprehensive about purchasing here after reading the reviews, however the majority are older reviews and seem to focus around delivery commitment so we made sure that the items we ordered were stocked items in order to minimize any issues. We visited the store about 5 times and made purchases over two days. I asked all kind of questions about logistics, tore the store apart moving stuff all over to see how items looked together and made them work hard for the sale. I (Ron Burgundy) was a real PITA :). Between the sales agent Brenda, the store manager Kelly, and other helpful staff, they managed to re-do the paperwork to incorporate two orders into one delivery. It is apparent that they are really trying to make it a good experience for the customer. This is a review based on part one of the experience. The follow through and delivery will be a separate review to come. Unable to create a second review so I had to edit this one and remove a star. The delivery company was very good and they did a great job setting up and assembling our 7 items. The reason for the loss of star is for the furniture quality. I ordered two identical leather reclining loveseats and one is a full 8 seconds slower than the other to recline and retract as well as having distinct manufacturing changes to the mechanisms, frame and leather pattern quality. At this point i'm not sure which one is a newer model, however I would certainly not want the one that takes 15 seconds to recline compared to the one that takes 7 seconds to recline. I will attach pictures later

I don’t know why there are so many low ratings on this store. However, to my recent experience, it was excellent from sales to pickup, finally the quality of the products. Leena was really informative and knowledgeable. Manager Richard was really helpful on my strict and narrow pickup schedule arrangement. Even the guy at the pickup area was helpful and polite. I will come back and shop again. I would recommend to my friends to Mobilia.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Burlington store's layout and selection. I purchased a number of furniture pieces in October 2017 — all items were good quality especially when compared with the price. But here’s the problem. These folks have no clue about service. They are rude and they deceive you on special orders. Through our design biz we’ve purchased a lot of furniture over the years. We have a rule never to pay in advance for special order items that will take more than 8 weeks to order. If more than 8 weeks we will only provide a reasonable deposit so the store shares the burden and responsibility to hustle. One of our items was the Noomie Rocker. When we were checking out, the sales person said it would be 6 to 8 weeks until it was ready for pick-up. We agreed to pay in full. 8 weeks later I inquired and the store said that the chair was not in yet. At 12 weeks I inquired and the curt and unapologetic sales person informed me that they never said 8 weeks, that it would be 16 weeks. At 20 weeks I emailed and gave them an ultimatum that if not ready by 22 weeks I would pursue a full refund. The next day I received a short reply that I could come pick up the chair. No explanation, no niceties, no apologies. They did not bother to tell me the chair was in before my ultimatum. I’m guessing they play the old trick of holding your money and selling your furniture item when it comes in multiple times while you wait until you put your foot down. Basically in this trick, you finance their display model inventory. This is precisely why we have our rule. I have since read in online reviews that Mobilia has a widely know issue of late order arrivals and curt and poor customer service. So do your homework.

There was some misunderstanding about the desk size at the time of the ordering. The issue was quickly and efficiently resolved by Vern from sales and Vish from customer service.
