What a great place to hunt for "treasures." You never know what you'll find. Friendly people work there. Always fun....new stuff is always arriving, never gets boring. Street parking or in a nearby parking lot. Many second-hand stores on this street. Easy walking distance. Spend some time here. 😀

Was just in this store. We have an autistic son who needs special attention and we as good parents were trying to do so when a lady there said we couldn't put him on or in a cart. We do this to contain him as he can get destructive. So we replied that he may break things if we dont. She then called a supervisor who got in our face as we were trying to shop and contain our son. They didn't care that he was autistic they asked us to leave because we apparently were not following there rules. This store is always a mess and should be boycotted because of how they treated us having an autistic child. STAY AWAY

Uh where to start I use loved going here but more and more often I'm seeing stuff priced as high as new ticketed items looked at a Gameboy ds asked if I could buy games separate was told no then asked if shed do better on the price then told me she cant change prices ,so that's fine told my buddy he went in there and talked to same girl and bought the games off her, they have random headlights and tail lights from a 2002 nissan altima 100$ a light ! Wreckers don't charge that much , went in today same lady who told me about the game boy games abruptly told us this stuffs not for sale when we just looked at it not touching just looking and tried to charge us $7.50cents when toys are sold by the pound, and to top it off she offeres the animal for 4$ the same lady who couldn't change the price all of a sudden can...... this place has gotten rediculous with prices hard to even go in there anymore.

Sometimes, on a rare day off I come thrifting downtown in Cobourg... It takes me 3 hours to get there but it's nice to spend the day there... I've found a few nice things for myself in here... unfortunately the last time I was in, I had a very terrible experience. I found something without a price tag... now I know all the thrift stores usually have the policy of no price, no sale... but I often see exceptions happening as it's usually an honest error of the tag coming off. Anyways, I brought a dress up to the counter without a tag and made it aware to the employee right away. A young lady a few years younger than me was servicing me at the counter... and I think she genuinely wanted me to get the piece so she said "I'll call someone over so they can find a price for it right now" She called her superior over, a thin woman, late fifties, shoulder length hair, and the employee asked what the price would be. The superior took one look at how I was dressed, and another look at the piece I had (was a costume dress from the 1950s that was more useful for the fabric than being worn for anything but a tattered halloween costume) and put it behind the counter whilst saying "we will have to call you and give you a price another time" and I said "I live hours away... I can't just come back and pick it up anytime" and then she replied "we can call you long distance, it's not an issue" ignoring my statement about being unable to just swing by and get it... I had to leave it behind because if I got a call back it would probably be to tell me that it was going to be some exorbitant price that would be unjust to reality... all because I'm dressed nicely and look like I might have more money and can AFFORD to pay more. I felt very unwelcome by her. I'll go back and shop again but I'll think twice before I do. I don't know if I want to contribute to businesses that judge their clientele... I think it's important that some eyes see this experience I had before going.
