I STRONGLY advise anyone dealing with this business NOT to pay up front, but to pay ONLY AFTER (and IF!!) the goods are delivered! I am a senior citizen and purchased a bunk bed for a child, several months ago. However, I have still not received it. I paid upfront for the bunk bed and installation, as they suggested. I was not concerned at the time, as I have paid for furniture up front in other stores, and have always received the items in a timely manner, so I expected Charley's Furniture to also be upfront and honest. However, this was my first (and LAST!) purchase at Charley's Furniture. I have been given the run-around when I have attempted to contact them by phone. I then stopped by the store at about 3:40 pm one weekday afternoon in July. 2 burly men there told me that the store was closed and shooed me away, even though the door was open and the sign said that the store would close at 4:30 pm. I asked when I could speak to someone, as I live far from the store. They replied that someone might, or might not, be there the next day. I then contacted the Better Business Bureau. BBB has tried to reach Charley's Furniture on several occasions, with no luck. Charley's Furniture has a very nice (and deceptive) website but I don't think the store is still operating. If it is, I STRONGLY advise anyone dealing with this store to tread cautiously before they give the store any money. I am giving one star as I have to give a rating. In actual fact, Charley's Furniture should get no stars at all.

Good quality furniture. Best prices I found.

Charley's furniture was a total disaster. My best friend bought a bedroom set and things got there scratched and broken. One piece of furniture was missing. When asking questions to the owner and his daughter, communication was impossible. They were arrogant, not listening and not wanting to help or even explain. The daughter hung up on my friend. They even broke the door when delivering and did not pay for the repair. The issues are not over and unfortunately, I have a feeling that it will be a long fight. My recommendation: don't even walk in that store.
