Dropped off a couple of chairs to get reupholstered/refinished at Burkcraft. The price fit my budget and the quality of work was top notch. I couldn't be happier with the results! I would definitely recommend them for anyone looking for this type of service .

Nevermind those near perfect Homestar ratings. The guy who runs this leather business is a Guyanese man named Burkley. He told me the Homestar ratings HAVE to be good reviews or they are not posted, and businesses PAID for them. I had called Burkley on the telephone in 2016 after perusing his website and reading that he did home visits to assess leather repair. When I called and spoke to him he denied that he did home visits and said it should not be on his website. However, we spoke on the phone for about 20 minutes. He is from a country whose people i'm very familiar with, and we had a connection (or so I thought). Burkley spoke very knowledgeably about the types of leather and how to assess if your couch is indeed all leather and how the paint process is done. In the end he said he would come out and assess our couch and I said I would pay him in cash for the trouble. It was a Thursday, we agreed on his visiting on Saturday. When Saturday came, at 12 noon I sent him a text, and he said he would be at my place between 2 and 5pm. I received another garbled text to say he was on his way at 4pm. At 6pm I received a very garbled text saying there had been a "death" in his family and he wouldn't be able to make it. Really? From the tone of his messages he had sounded like he was drinking. My guess is that Burkley was at a bar hanging out, drinking, and was too drunk to make it. He is Guyanese after all and expressed his love for the Demerara in our previous conversation. And I never heard from him again.
