Seen that they were having sale which was advertised well. Needed things for my home. Unfortunately when I walked in the atmosphere was horrible. Both works looked directly in my face and did not say a word. After one following me around she reluctantly said Hello. But no offer to help was there. But still continued to follow me around the store. Maybe it was assumed that I didn't or shouldn't be in the store...I am not sure. For such mature women you would think that they would take their jobs more serious. Very rude workers and it's a shame to the company.

I've been to this Bowring's 3 times in the last month. Never once has sales staff ever asked me if I need any help. They have never even acknowledged my presence. There's plenty of staff and they look busy stocking shelves and such, but not helping customers. When I asked for help finding something, I was quickly given the answer that it must be out of stock with no real effort made to find it. The cashier was rather snotty and also never once gave a greeting, just simply opened with, "Do you need a gift receipt" . They had a huge sale in their flyer and in the store announcing that everything was 20% off. I was told this even in store and then I get home only to look at my receipt and realize the cashier never made the deductions. So disappointed. I will not shop here again.

There are a lot of nice housewares here. It's very clean, friendly staff. Much better then what the other similar home places across the road but with better deals. Finding gifts for the moms is very easy here and affordable. A very good store!

Worst shopping experience, from start to finish. Walked in to the store with several heavy gift bags to make returns. The two ladies looked at my mother with a dirty glare and asked us what we were doing. So we stood in the front of the store explaining that we wanted to do a return while holding the heavy bags, while waiting for them to at least let us walk to the counter. We did not have a reciept for 2 of the items. The elderly worker kept repeating that she would take 30% off the final price for everything for not having a reciept. This was no issue to us. However, the way she treated my mother was a major issue. No individual should be treated in that manner. Nothing we said could've came off as rude at all. How this lady got her job is really a mystery to me. She's an elderly Caucasian lady with short hair. The other lady is a midaged Indian individual. This occurred on May 30th at 7pm.
