Do not recommend. Bought dresser just under a year ago and it's already warping. The wood was obviously not dried our properly. Messaged customer service, in hope of getting new drawers. They stated nothing could be done and offered me $50, the dresser costs $1200+ tax. $50 doesn't go very far if I have to buy a new dresser cause it gets worse. Very disappointed

I had purchased an Avalon buffet in late 2020 and received it around Christmas of that year. Shortly after, the doors on the left and right began to warp to the point that they would not completely close (photos 1 and 2). Initially, I was told that that was the charm of natural wood and that it was entirely normal. After further pushing the issue, Bois et Cuir agreed to replace the unit with a new one. I did appreciate what they had done and took possession of the new one in May of 2021. By October of 2021 one of the doors began to warp again to where they both are now in March of 2022 (photos 3 and 4) Again, I had brought it to their attention, again I was told that it was normal for natural wood to do that. They offered $100 in compensation and have been unwilling to correct the issue since. At $1100 for the buffet, I refuse to accept it as "normal". Having asked around, the consensus appears to be that the wood that they are using is not treated properly before they use it to build and the result is what I have experienced twice now. Ultimately they have replaced my defective unit with another defective unit. In the meantime, I had also purchased 3 Shilo chairs at $400 per chair and had noticed that some of the holes for the small plastic feet on the legs were drilled incorrectly. I still managed to attach all the feet and didn't think anything of it until later in the evening while cleaning up after a small gathering, I had a look at my floor under the chair and discovered some of them had broken and left what is in photo's 5, 6 and 7. Bois et Cuir's answer: it was in fact me who over tightened them and that they were sorry for the inconvenience. They offered to replace the legs but I declined, the damage was already done and I could only expect the same. It seems that there is a one year guarantee on workmanship and all of the items that I have purchased from Bois et Cuir have issues related entirely to that. Save yourself the trouble and your money, their catalogue looks nice but it's really not well made and definitely not worth it.

Put an order for a dining table first week of this month. Website says it would take 3-5 days for orders that have been confirmed to ship. I called in at day 5 and was told it would take up to 7 days due to COVID. It has now been 2 weeks and I am nearly following up every day to get a status update. I am always told they have found a delivery company but waiting for a quote. I have received my other furniture from Toronto that were ordered after this table.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME! These guys strung me along for months waiting for a dinning table and bench set. I ordered in April, it was due to arrive in May, but never did. I had to reach out repeatedly. The expected date would pass and I would email and they would give me a new date. I really wanted this set, but I had to cancel after July. I am still waiting on a refund. They are saying their processing is busted and I wont be refunded until the end of August. This is the same thing they did with the delivery date. Heartbreaking. I had to get my bank involved.

We did a major renovation of our main floor and decided to buy a couch from this company. We purchased it online and the couch arrived on time. Within one month, the couch started "piling". The material started to wear out and was completely covered in these little balls of fabric. I called the company and sent them photos and a video of the couch. Their response was literally, "This is normal. Enjoy your couch!" It almost feels like sandpaper. What a total waste of $3500. Their nonchalant response was a joke and insulting to a family who spent a lot of money on this couch as part of our dream renovation. Judging by their terrible reviews and no response from the company, I'm assuming they'll ignore this review as well. Buyer beware.
