I suspect that these guys have a TERRIBLY insecure digital transaction system. The day after I took a Capital Taxi (one of their sub-operations) from YEG airport on Nov 27 2018, I had a fraudulent US$5211.78 charge on my credit card from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Every other previous transaction of mine for weeks was made in California with trusted companies, so this GREATER EDMONTON TAXI charge through Capital Taxi looks incredibly suspicious and suggests badly compromised security or people. I had to cancel my previous credit card in August because of hackery (now this makes two) during an earlier visit to Edmonton, and another Edmonton taxi service was in the mix then as well. Be careful.

My daughter's wallet was left in the cab and Asia and the rest of the staff was extremely helpful in getting it returned to us - even helping me get it shipped home as we don't live in Edmonton. Great company!!!

On my most recent trip with a taxi driver from this service, the driver was looking at his phone while driving. When I let him know that I wasn't tipping him because of this he became very defensive. I called the company to complain and was told "the complaint will be referred to a manager" yet none of my contact information was taken. I put in a complaint in writing on the company website. To date there has been no response. I guess Greater Edmonton Taxi Service Inc thinks that drivers breaking traffic laws and endangering the lives of their passengers is acceptable. This incident happened July 2, 2018. Note: the offending cab driver was driving Yellow Cab Vehicle 47. If you phone this taxi service, please ask to NOT have Vehicle 47 pick you up or you will be placing your life in danger.

The most outrageously dangerous drivers in the city. One of them tried to ram me with his vehicle and police issued a number of serious charges against the company in connection with the incident, including stunting. After apologizing to me, they had the gall to try and fight the tickets so now I have to waste my time and attend court as a witness to make sure these tickets stick. How absolutely disgusting. This company should be ashamed of themselves. I trust this company as far as I can throw them, which coincidentally getting thrown is safer than getting into one of their cabs.
