Year after year the Lund Water Taxi is reliable, friendly and on time! I can't say enough good things about your business...except thanks to all of you for doing such a great job! It gets pretty hairy in the summer but everyone that works with you seems unruffled. 🙏

Coldest May24th ever

We booked a water taxi to Sarah Point a week in advance for our Sunshine Coast Trail trip. Originally our booking was for 3 people and we were told that the price was $200 + taxes,(about $65 a head). We were also told at this point the price would go down per person as long as we didn't exceed 6 party members, (the maximum capacity the boat can handle). 2 more family members wanted to join us making the group total 5 members. We informed the Taxi service of this and were told the price would still be $200 + tax flat. She said it was $50 a person, but if we all paid together it would still be $200. The water taxi people called us and asked if we could move our booking from 9:30 to 9:45am the day before our trip and we agreed as it was no problem to us. The lady also said the price was $50 a person and that it would be $250 total, which was different than originally stated. We stated that we were told that the taxi was $200 total and that more people made it cheaper per person. The woman we were speaking to on the phone at this time was very rude and stated that they would NEVER have agreed to a price that cheap and that we were wrong. Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances with work one party member dropped out later that day and we informed the water taxi people and they said it was no problem. When we did arrive at the taxi office we were again greeted very rudely by the voice we recognized from our phone conversations. We stated again then that the price we were originally told was $200 total. Again the short haired woman we were speaking to told us that we were wong, they would never honor the original price, and that it was now $60 a person plus taxes. We stated again that we were told it was $50 a person and $200 total by paying together. Her reply was "I don't know WHO said something like that, it is ridiculous and far too good of a deal, the price is $60 a person plus taxes." With the other choice being cancelling our hiking trip, we were forced to pay there outrageous fees. This really ruined our first experience on the Sunshine coast trail and our experience in Lund as we all felt bullied by the Lund water taxi employees. When we got onto the boat, it was a huge water taxi fit for at least 20 people plus gear, not the water taxi we were originally told was fit for 6 people. They changed this on us without informing us along with the price and time. They refused to be honest with us about any of these changes, which seemed very shady of them and they never even apologized for any of their mistakes. No other water taxi I have taken has cost that much based on the distance traveled. Lund's water taxi service is way overpriced for the service they offer, taking advantage of hikers. I will say however the captain of the boat was very informative and helpful once we were on it. That is where the only star in this review is coming from.

Horrible customer service from the main office. One staff member was very dishonest and rude and bullied me into paying a higher rate than I was originally told on the phone. Very expensive water taxi for hikers on the Sunshine Coast Trail.
