I had CN Furnace come to my house and clean my Furnace and ducts. They showed up in clean uniforms. They got to work promptly. One of them worked on my Furnace. While the other worked on cleaning the ducts. I had a good experience with this company. The guy working on my Furnace was very friendly. He answered my questions knowledgeably and very professional. I would recommend them for your Furnace needs. I liked that they worked around my skeduale and showed up on time.

This a notice of buyer beware of this Furnace & Duct cleaning company out of Burnaby on Kingsway. I live in New Westminster and found them in one of those coupon booklets that are mailed to your door. The serviceman claimed I had a gas leak and needed to replace the ignition. He took his gas meter and waved it over the area to show me the leak. It was making its beeping noise. When I asked how much to fix it… he quickly responded "$400”. $400 sounded like a big number to me and all too convenient for him. I responded - "I'll pass thanks". From which he replied something to the effect that "I needed for him to fix it right then and there or we would need to shut the furnace off for safety reasons". I politely told him to take a hike and called my gas company to verify. The gas company promptly sent a serviceman over to check it out. They found everything to be in good shape with no leaks. And they did not charge me for the call. I found this to be an incredibly fraudulent act on the Furnace cleaning company. I've always been good at smelling a rat - and I was sure of this. I couldn't help but wonder how many times they pulled this con on elderly or unsuspecting families. I view this as no different than stealing money out of my wallet. I called the owner of the company; he assured me that their service man was one of his best and he had no prior complaints. I am unconvinced. I did check them out with the BBB and found they had a good rating. Although truth be told, I've always felt the BBB is bias since all of the members have to pay to be a member. I could have reported it on the BBB but decided against it. Maybe I should have? Anyway - just thought I would share this story with my neighbours so whoever reads this won't get scammed by these crooks.

My grandmother called this company for them to come clean the furnace ducts. Immediately after they walked in the house they went straight to the furnace and claimed that we needed a new motor because it was making a rattling sound. Without any approval they changed the motor and charged my 70 year old grandmother $605. I called the company and told them they had no approval to change the motor, the only reason they were here is because she needed the ducts cleaned out. So the two service guys came back and put the old motor back in. Before he did so he shook the old motor to show us the rattle. After they put the motor back in they refunded the $605 but still charged her the $65 for the duct cleaning. After the two service men left we investigated the rattle in the motor and found out it was just two loose bolts on the side of the blower. This company is nothing but a bunch of unprofessional people who don't even have enough standards to make their workers wear uniforms. The second the two service guys came in I thought we were gonna get robbed. Use this as a warning, avoid this company at all costs! They are nothing but scam artists. And their idea of duct cleaning is just sticking a hose 4 feet into each duct. I wonder how many other people these guys have ripped off...

Horrible service, convinced my elderly mother they were sent to her home by family member. Did minimum work, then would not take a check, and made my 80 year old mother go to a bank machine, while they sat on the pation in shorts and tshirts smoking cigarettes, when she returned did not give a receipt or list of work done. Do not use them!
