Very poor cleaning job. Didn't clean toilets well at all - we came home to cleaning solution just sitting in them but they hadn't been scrubbed. Dusted only parts of the house, missing large, visible areas. Smeared the top of the glass table rather than cleaned it. Mirrors had dried drips running down them. Bathtubs were, if I'm being generous, lightly wiped at best. Floors were barely swept let alone mopped. They didn't even sweep under the kitchen chairs and table. Certainly didn't mop the hardwood floors - there was still dust under the dining room table. In fairness - the kitchen was nicely done. Appliances had been cleaned well. Overall - have you ever had your kids "clean" your house only to have to redo pretty much everything?... that's the experience we had with Minty Maids.

We booked Minty Maids to come and do a clean. The list they have on their website of what's included is very comprehensive! The online booking system was fantastic and easy to use. A few hours after booking them, we found some negative Google reviews but decided to proceed anyway because there are surely hundreds of happy customers... However, we are here to add to the list of unsatisfied customers... We've had cleaners before (bi-weekly for over a year), and this is the first time I've left a public, negative review about a cleaning company. We paid $330 for this service and the results were disappointing. Even when we returned home, I looked through the door in excitement and there were big marks on the floor. So the first thing we saw was dirt. - The hardwood floors were streaky - It smelled musty when we walked in (my wife noticed it initially, I didn't, but I noticed it when returning to the house later in the day) - The counter top in our kitchen still had food stuck to it, had coffee marks and coffee grounds over it (see picture) - The cupboards don't seem to have been wiped down (see picture) - Dog hair not hoovered up (see picture) - Mud on floor of entrance (see picture) - Dry mud by back door (see picture) - Dry mud by vent (see picture) - Kitchen sink not cleaned properly (see picture) - Table not cleaned properly (see picture) - Stove top not cleaned properly (see picture) - The 'Polish stainless steel appliances' was poor. We didn't take a before picture because I jumped straight into cleaning it, but it was smudged and hadn't been polished well / at all - There was lots of dust everywhere. We put our fingers along the cabinet in our rec room and there was plenty of dust. This was the final piece that made me write the review: I put my hand across the top of my home office cabinet (eye level) and it was coated in dust (see picture) We are so disappointed and do not recommend Minty Maids after this experience.

Great cleaning and customer service. Reasonably priced and can focus on certain parts of the house. They cleaned out my fridge no problem, never had a maid service with those kind of features! Would highly recommend to anyone looking or already has a maid service but is looking to switch. Keep up the great work Minty Maids! Support local businesses also :)

Minty Maids seems like a fantastic value - they have list on their website of everything they include: stainless steel appliances polished, doors and baseboards wiped down, exterior cupboards cleaned, doorknobs polished, etc. Seems too good to be true, and unfortunately it is. I've had Minty Maids come in twice. This review is mostly a result of my recent cleaning, but I did detail my first further below. I booked my clean for 9 a.m. on a weekday and Terry was assigned to my clean. I received a call the same morning from Terry. He said that he hadn't heard from his cleaning staff that morning, and wasn't even sure if they were coming in to work. He apologized and offered me a 25% discount if I would reschedule to Saturday morning. Two cleaners showed up on-time Saturday morning (I think one was Terry, but I didn't get the name of the other man). This time there was absolutely no attention to detail, and even the very basics weren't done well. There were some other issues that really bothered me though: - The dining table was just given a cursory wipe; there was dried food left over from the kids' breakfast which wasn't even cleaned off. - The kitchen sink wasn't cleaned, never mind polished. - There was still soap scum in the shower, and dust on the bathroom floor. - All surfaces that were wiped were done so half-heartedly. There was still dust at the edges/corners of surfaces. Cobwebs weren't dusted away. - The stainless steel fridge was wiped down, but certainly not polished - it was left with streaks. - Cupboard doors weren't even dusted, nevermind cleaned. - They didn't move the mats in the kitchen before sweeping or washing the floor. - Baseboards, doors, door handles weren't wiped down. They finished quickly and left without a word before I noticed any of this. I tried calling Terry's cell phone shortly after they left, but there was no answer. I called the main customer service line and left a message with my name and address and told them they had just left my house but there were some items left uncleaned, including the cupboard doors, the dining table, and several other things, and I asked them to call me back. They didn't return my call and my credit card was charged the following Monday. I haven't heard anything from the company since that day. My first cleaning with Minty Maids last summer was a little better. At that time they offered an add-on for interior full cabinets and full fridge (meaning you wouldn't have to empty your cabinets or fridge prior to cleaning - they would take everything out and put it back for you). Their website states that their cleaners work in teams to get the job done faster, but I noticed that when my clean was booked only one person was assigned - a woman named Karin. I was scheduled for an afternoon clean, and was concerned that they would be here all evening with the add-ons I chose if they only sent one person, so I called their customer service line. I spoke with Terry, who assured me that they did clean in teams but it only showed the name of the team leader assigned to the clean. However, when Karin did show up she was alone and said they hadn't planned on sending any other cleaners. She seemed surprised that the cupboards were full (uhm, yes... that's what I paid for) and called Terry to let him know that she needed someone to come help her. Terry showed up and ended up doing the cupboards and the fridge, and Karin did everything else. That first clean was done fairly well, however I had to remind them to wipe down the baseboards, the doors, and the door handles. They also didn't move the mats by the door and sink before sweeping and washing the kitchen floor, so I had to rewash the floors to actually get them clean, but overall I was satisfied with the work they put in to the clean. However my recent experience has soured my overall impression and I'm extremely disappointed with Minty Maids.

Been using them for a while to take care of my Mom’s place in the city. She’s super happy with the service, so definitely gonna be continuing!!
