Be careful about the rate that the company offers. From the email they sent me: 'The cost for duct cleaning is $199 plus $10 per air vent (all supply & cold air return vents).' Because I have checked other duct cleaning companies and their rates were 199 for 10 vents and additional $10 per vent, I got tricked by Power Vac of Ottawa, it was my fault that I didn't check the rate carefully... I think this is what they hope that their clients may be fooled in this way. The guy who worked on cleaning the ducts did a great job! He worked alone and worked really hard. However, one of the vents in the kitchen was left obviously dirty (probably due to some oil build-up, the dust was stuck to the vent). I asked him about that vent and he responded that the company does not clean vents, they just use the machine and whatever the machine cleans, that's it. Also, neither of the supply and return vent metal covers have been cleaned, at least vacuumed. So, I don't understand why Power Vac of Ottawa charges so much more as compared to other companies if they don't even clean the dirty vents and don't vacuum the metal covers. I am not satisfied at all with the service they provide with regards to the rate and what is included for that high rate! The worker, however, did a great job!

Did a great job after my house was renovated included my dryer vent which was almost clogged so they took the time to make sure my house was safe and clean.... Great job

My family is really happy with the duct cleaning service from this company. Our ducts had never been cleaned, and we had a lot of dust in the house, allergies, and what looked like mold in the basement vents. Anyway, a guy named Troy came, suctioned the intake and output ducts, did something to each vent individually, then sanitised the whole system with benefect. He also checked the furnace for mold and answered my questions. He seemed honest and didn't recommend any unnecessary furnace repairs like other people have. It all costed around $400. (I think there might have been a deal on at the time). Either way, we were very satisfied with the service, the value, and we are grateful for the cleaner air.

I had not had my ducts cleaned in well over five years and as a result of also having two German Shepherds, they were in dire need of cleaning. The house smelled of dog and the air was rather stagnant, despite the furnace fan continually running. Nathan arrived a little early and proceeded with a very thorough cleaning of my ducts within the predicted time frame, and in a very tidy fashion! As the equipment was being put away, I was totally amazed at the difference in the air quality, both the air flow and lack of odour! Nathan's knowledge, professionalism and personableness made my experience with Power Vac of Ottawa extremely pleasant from beginning to end. All of my questions were addressed and I was even provided with tips for economical savings and air quality efficiencies. I would highly recommend Power Vac of Ottawa, the cost was very reasonable and without surprises - the overall service was EXCELLENT! THANK YOU Power Vac of Ottawa, Nathan Osman in particular, I'll look forward to seeing you again in approximately two years, as a result of the dog hair!
