Green Cleaning & Stitching

Do not get anything altered here. So we have been bringing our dry cleaning here for several months and had no problem. We then needed some jeans hemmed a few months back and we were promised they would be done Thursday afternoon as we really needed them for Friday and they were not there when we showed up Friday morning. They send out their items and we had to go back twice and multiple phone calls to people to finally get them Friday evening. We brushed this off and continued to get our dry cleaning done. Now this week we needed dress pants hemmed for a wedding today. We didn’t feel like we should bring them here because of what happened last time but we love supporting local businesses so we thought we would try again... we said we needed them for Thursday and he said that wasn’t possible but could have them first thing Friday morning. We showed up Friday morning and he said “well there was a problem with them but I can have them first thing Saturday (today)” we had to agree because we couldn’t just go out and buy new pants on such short notice. They were also not on site (neither is their seamstress as their sign states) so now we couldn’t go downtown last night as planned because we needed to come and get the pants. So we go and pick them up today and they were AWFUL! I am pretty sure they did not go by the measurements and if it wasn’t for the terrible stitching we would have thought they weren’t even hemmed... they were still 4 inches too long! They were so bad there was no way we could use them today. We called him and he said “well that’s the length you told me to go” we said “are you serious, you were the one that measured them...” he said there was nothing he could do and basically hung up. We called frantically around to find a place to get them fixed and thankfully found Linda’s Alterations in Bradford who helped us and told us that they have NEVER seen such a bad job done and even sent us home with the scraps because she couldn’t believe how bad it was (she removed an additional 3 inches). Anyways.. it’s just unfortunate that they never tried to help us or offer any remedy. Definitely lost our business permanently.
