Amazing place. John owner is great. Quick and do everything on premise. Totally worthwhile

These are by far the nicest and most helpful dry cleaners I have ever come across. I brought in a winter jacket that one of my coworkers was discarding and wanted to have it cleaned before I passed it along to to one of the many homeless people that I see downtown. Not only did they do a spectacular job but they did some repairs to it free of charge when they found out where it was going. I am happy to say that the jacket is keeping a person in need very warm as I write this and it is partly thanks to Park Avenue Cleaners. I can’t thank them enough. The jacket looked like new.

CUSTOMER BEWARE. Big mistake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This place is the MOST expensive place in the city. They are located on Eastern Ave beside a mechanic and a car wash and a SUBWAY - didn't imagine. We mistakenly brought our items here (first time) and my partner didn't look at the bill. I almost lost my mind when I saw that the bill was $420 for 8 items!!!!! Yes some very minor alterations were asked (arm length shortening on two jackets) but still!!! This dry cleaning bill was as costly as the items that were purchased. When I looked at the bill this morning and came back to my senses (there had to be mistake!!), I immediately called the cleaners. I dealt with the person who answered the phone first - apparently the seamstress - and she mislead me and told me to come in and speak to the owner in person. When I came in 45 minutes later - there was no owner there of course. I got a call from a Paulette who called me "on behalf" of the owner. Paulette scolded me on the phone and told me these were "normal prices" and that I didnt' have a right to question their prices. When she called me back later - she told me they could do nothing on the costs of the jackets and that she would give me a 20% reduction on the drycleaning. So essentially she would reduce the $420 bill by $30. She had no compassion for my situation. I admitted that we were at fault for not looking at the receipt when my partner left the cleaners - but I don't think anyone could have imagined those prices. To say I am unhappy is an understatement. But now my items are held hostage. What to do???? When I told Paulette my only recourse was to write a review she actually encouraged me to do so. She has no concern for the client experience. DO NOT make the mistake I made. Their prices are beyond normal!!!! I wish someone had warned me.
