My Dad David Sipes who we love and miss passed away in sky point hospice surrounded by the people he loved . During his day in the hospice, we had so much support from the amazing Social Worker Hannah, who I could not have done this without the incredible nurses and all the other staff . The ladies who would transport my father from his bed to his chair and clean him, he called his angels. He was so happy to be out of the hospital and in a place that he called his home From the second he arrived . My father was a very funny man with quite the humour of a jokester and a trickster that the staff took very well . The bedside manner here is unbelievable . And not just how they took care of our father, but how they took care of his family as well. we are so happy that the staff at Agecare hospice in Skypointe allowed us to honour my dads wishes and place the portrait him and his neighbour across the way asked me to draw of him and place beside his new friend Stevens portrait that A previous patient had drawn of him. I was so happy that we got to share this with the staff and Steven after my father left us . When I returned to submit the photo, they already had the frame ready And you can see it in the hallway if you visit . So many emotions came back when I returned as I had days and moments in the hospice that I could not, and would not trade for anythingI am so grateful for this hospice and the time they gave us together . We made sure that dad was never alone and that he had somebody with him around the clock who loved him . Thank you, @agecare for being so wonderful with my father, and for never making us leave his side because of this we were able to create so many more memories in our last weeks together . Going in, I thought what a sad place, but it became a happy place because of the memories they allowed us to make. It was a place I couldn’t wait to get to every morning when I woke up to spend time with my father.

We moved my Father in Law in here awhile ago. He definitely has some health issues and dementia. They have treated him with so much respect and such wonderful care. He’s now feeling at home. The RN who is on during the day is an absolute blessing. The LPN and the support staff as well are just unbelievable with their care of him. He can be a hands full when he has an infection and it’s just about impossible to get him to cooperate with his medication or anything yet they get the job done. Then tonight we took to the Christmas Tree lighting and he was just like a little kid again. Clapping and singing. Jeremy did such a wonderful job with the music. Now to get down to the staff. We had a manager come around and ask how we were and how things were going. I complimented him on a job well done. He said that all his job was to do was walk around making sure people were having a good time and to look pretty. What a sense of humour. He said the real compliments had to go to all the people involved getting this event and organized. He also said all the staff pitching in working together and getting it done was 100% all them doing it. He had nothing but good to say about the staff.

The staff are not attentive and very slow when buzzed to come into the room. It's very hard to get in, especially if the person can't come down. They didn't have anyone to clean the mess caused by our family. The room was dirty and smelling all night because their cleaning is only once a day.

My husband spent ghree and a half months at Skypointe and every day that he was there, he feltmloved and cared for. The staff were warm, generous with their time and genuinely cared for my husband. On addition tje rooms were large in size and had multi channel tvs and mini fridges. This added to the home like atmosphere. There were gqmes, events and even a lottle bistro. Skyppointe made a very difficult time a little bit easier. Thank you!

This review is specific to the hospice care unit. My father was there for almost three weeks, and during that time, we experienced nothing but kindness, support and quick responses with whatever we asked. The nurses, LPNs, nurse aides and doctors were caring, thoughtful and lovely to deal with. We want to specifically mention Dr. Michael Tsoi and Hannah, our wonderful social worker, who were so impressive--their consideration, check-ins and time they took with my dad and our family meant so much to us. My dad also mentioned how wonderful the staff were with him, and he called everyone 'top-class'. When you put a deeply loved, vulnerable, very sick, family member in the care of others, you worry all the time. We didn't worry at this hospice unit. Thank you to each and every one of you who cared for our father. We will forever be grateful to you.
