My mother was transferred from Foothills hospital after her second fall. She only lived another 3 months at the care facility but we appreciated the help and compassion the staff showed. The rooms where nice and I found the facility clean. I can appreciate it's a difficult situation and there are limitations in staffing and resources so our family made ever effort to assist where we could. I feel that made all the difference in making this a positive experience for our family.

My mom was placed in this long term care home after being in the hospital for over a month. She was weak and barely ate and couldn't really talk. I figured the staff would watch her carefully but almost everyday I would get a call that they found her on the floor after a fall. After a couple months she started to decline even more. Ultimately she did pass away while in her bed in the home. I didn't live in the city and when I got the call they told me I had TWO hours to find a funeral home to come collect her. If my mom hadn't had her arrangements in order I don't know what would have happened. Just TWO days after her passing they asked me to come collect her things because they had already rented her room out. The bedside manner of the nurses is horrible. They could have given us a week at most to get that in order. This facility and all other should have a designated person to handle after life care for families when their love one passes away. I felt like there was no concern for our situation and I would never want anyone to feel how I felt. Hopefully, if you have a loved one in this facility and they pass they might change their way of going about this but I doubt it. It felt so cold.

Pray your family isn't placed here. The building is run down. The staff are good, but understaffed. The parking is the worst of any care home we've dealt with. It's paid parking. There's a year long waiting list for a parking pass. Or so they say... it's 200 dollars a month for parking here if you go the cheapest route, which is a weekly pass. We visit my dad daily and for several hours. The administration has zero empathy and are just trying to maximize profits on dying people. Now add the 200 onto your 2500 a month costs for housing your loved one... ppl are forced to pick between seeing their loved ones and paying for parking that is far more than hospital paid parking. The receptionist will take great pleasure in telling you that Brentwood is a private facility , funded by ahs, and that paying for parking is their right to charge.

Would give zero stars if I could. My father was placed here with early vascular dementia. He was a lot younger than the rest of the residents on his unit and was left unattended and alone in his room always, never changed or cleaned. The staff also called the police on him for taking a spoon out of the dining room and back into his room. Absolutely heartless, careless, absurd and hope I can warn others of debating leaving their loved ones in their hands.

They are the reason my dad passed early, in pain, and alone. Wouldn’t let me see him. Same thing as some other reviews on here. They made up different reasoning to how he passed every phone call, and said they’re holding an investigation. They never got back to us, just sent his body away. Very inhumane place
