Looking for lodging for my Aunt. This place definitly has a good feel. Not so Nursing Home feeling. Large and spacious rooms in comparison to other lodges. Friendly feel does NOT smell bad.

Looking for age care for my Aunt. McKenzie made our top 3 list. It does not have the lodgey feel most homes have. They offer majority private rooms unlike most homes. Only thing missing is personnal showers in each room.

I went here with an open mind, Looked great "from the outside" My experience was that worse than a hospital setting.. Front desk nobody there an aid that was handing out sandwiches to patients actually had to make the person aware ,I was there to see for a tour. Filth on the front desk piled high with what I would assume is private? Computer wide open could have checked my email while waiting at the reception desk. Floors dirty, windows look like someone has been finger painting with something that looked like grease. I was asked to sit in their "cafe" which is people explaining to their parents why they could not go home, the one gentlemen that said hi, just went silent when staff came around? SAW THE ROOMS , HALLWAYS, DINING. The rooms are two single beds put TOGETHER with a curtain in between. ALBERTA HEALTH SHOULD BE ASHAMED!!!!! Not to mention this is a private facillity that was ordered by healthcare to turn a one person room into 2 rooms. If this helps anyone I will be happy. But knowing the world of GOOGLE it will not even be seen. Funny all the 4 or 5 stars do you care about your MOM OR DAD? I DO.
