I have been at Heritage Place for a year and a half. I can't thank them enough for the care they have given me. I spent 10 days in the ICU with a very serious illness and when I came back I couldn't move or walk , they gave me such extra and personal care. Thanks to physical therapists and the encouragement of CNA's. My bathes are always regular. As well as daily care by staff that is loving and supportive , responsive to my needs. I am grateful to be here. Another incentive to Heritage Place they are one of the few who take Medicaid. I don't what low income people would do without them. They have increased their pay to be competitive. The new Administrator is making great strides in making this a better place. We are all a family here.

I think this is a terrible place for residents! There's alot of stealing and a general lack of personal hygiene as well. My mom has been a resident at Heritage Place for three years. In that time alot of her personal effects have been stolen. There's been times when personal hygiene is also lacking. Approximately January 21st she became ill with intermittent vomiting and fever. They thought it was the flu at the time, this went on for three weeks with the staff just observing. I go to see her on a weekly basis, so I was also observing her. On February 11th I walked into her room and I could hardly wake her up and her skin was orange. I walked out to a CNA and said that she needed to go to the hospital. The CNA replied that great minds think alike and got the unit nurse, who then told me they didn't know what was wrong with her and the Director of Nursing was now handling it and was currently on the phone with the facility's doctor, Dr. Griffith. The unit nurse and I went the DON's office and I told her about my mom's condition. She replied that it could be a side-effect of her Keppra, an anti-seizure medication. I told her that since she gets that daily and her symptoms were intermittent that didn't make sense and I wanted her to go the hospital. The DON then suggested urgent care and wondered if she could get into a wheelchair. The unit nurse said she didn't think she could sit up and I replied I could hardly wake her, let alone get her to sit up and reminded her urgent care closed at noon that day, being a Sunday. She then acquiesced and mom ended up in the emergency room and was diagnosed with a gallstone blocking her bile duct. The removed it and then proceeded to remove her gallbladder. Now I have to ask, what would have happened if I didn't live in the area? She told me later her stomach had been in alot of pain--did no one push on her stomach or feel her abdomen? My mom could barely speak, but the one thing she did tell me before having the stone removed was that she didn't want to return there, and I transferred her to Brendan House.

Terrible place from what I've witnessed, heard. I wouldn't be going out of my way to write this unless it were true, also i only want to prevent someone else from being treated in such a way. These people are running a business and nothing more. If i had to explain all the horrific B.S. they've done to my family member would literally have to write a book. STAY AWAY from here, they will neglect you, intentionally disregarded you, they'll ignore you or your family/DR request. Please 'save' your money and heartache, take your loved one either home, or to a location were they can receive the care they deserve.

I would not put my dog in this place. I have worked in Health care all my life. This place is horrible. My Daughter was sent there from Hospital With no Meds and they said they could not get them cause it was the weekend. I was only there a few hours. The bed control had tape on it. thats a no no. WE stayed to have dinner with her and they said dinner was at 4:30 we got dinner at 6. and it was not that good. The Cna are rude. Not a very caring.
