Very peaceful, staff really care about their residents

A beautiful facility. We thought we found the perfect place for our parents." Aging in place" is what its supposed to be. That means as their needs increase so does the care! Perfect, we shouldn't have to move them .The first month was great, they seemed to like it and the staff seemed to do a good job. Very quickly it changed. If your parents do not have dementia and don't require help with anything then it will probably work out for you. They advertise to be a dementia friendly place, that is so not true. They are anything but dementia friendly. So glad we got them out of there and into a better place for them. Put cameras in ( with many signs posted) so staff could do their best. They are supposed to be checked every 2 hours we were told. The cameras told a different story...4-6 hours unchecked many times. Imagine if your mom fell and was left there for 6 hours before someone found her. Watch out for the antipsychotics( not supposed to be given for people with dementia)Mom isn't on a single one since moved to the new place and doing much better. Staff need more training. They have a long way to go to becoming Dementia Friendly!

Excellent care facility. My father-in-law has mild stage 4 dementia. He's been living here for 1.5 years. Care had been excellent. Staff have been very good to him.
