My grandma moved into Tabor Court about 5 months ago. The staff are so friendly and considerate. They go out of their way to make sure my grandma is comfortable and happy. I also like how they view her space as her space. The nurses and staff have made my grandma's life much easier for her and I will be forever grateful for that. As for the food everytime I have visited and stayed for lunch or dinner the food is appropriately portioned and tastes amazing. They have a well balanced meal plan that a resident can adjust due to dietary restrictions. When my grandma got a flu they were kind and brought up chicken broth and jello (the only things she could eat) to her room. Not only were they thinking about my grandma but they wanted to ensure that the bug does not spread. They have great community events including a senior work out routine to ensure the residents stay healthy. I literally have nothing bad to say about Tabor Court. After reading the posts on here about stealing and knowing the staff there is no way that they would do nothing. This place cares deeply about each and every person that lives under their care.

On September 7, 2018 Tabor Home had their Annual Provincial Licensing Inspection and received a perfect score. No contraventions were found. The Licensing Officer stated it is unusual to award a perfect score to a Residential Care Facility. Sarah Clay, Licensing Officer commented: “The facility and staff have excellent systems and accountability built into each department and at all levels of staffing. Each staff member spoken to is knowledgeable of their department and how it translates into care across departments”

What are the license requirements per patient . Are these currently being provided. My husband waited 45 minutes to use the commode. Then left on for another 45 minutes before attendantd could take care of him. It seems like there is a staffing shortfall.

None of the bad reviews on here shock me. My family had suffered greatly due to Tabour Home (some staff and management). Glad that’s in the past but so disappointed and worried for the handful of wonderful people that do work and volunteer there.

Tabor Home is a horrible place! There are staff members who steal money from the helpless residents, family members of the residents, and other staff members and management refuses to do anything about it! Their current "budget cuts" include serving soggy, old grill cheese sandwiches as a snack, cold previously frozen veggies as "salad", and eggs only once a week for breakfast. Management treat their very hard working staff like garbage and in the end, the residents suffer because of it! Don't waist your time here! It should be "care from the budget" instead of "care from the heart".
