The area surrounding this location has become a horrific scene of drug dealing and human excrement. I would never live near this facility. Nor would I visit the businesses or let my family walk down the sidewalk of this block (800 block of Johnson Street). We cannot blame the staff (would you want to work here?) Likewise the services; police, by-laws enforcement and City cleaners can only operate within their means. If you live nearby and hate what your neighborhood has become, or operate a company that less and less people want to do business with..... There is no one to blame but the individuals who are directly causing the problems, and those who advocate for them!

I believe these places are needed to help those that want help though most here really don’t want the help at all. This housing is in the wrong location that is ruining our beautiful downtown core of our city. There is open drug use here which you can see and there is crime in the whole area around this area which is causing businesses to shut down as customers fear coming to this area. Just walking by you can smell the awful smell coming from the building. Stay away unless you want your stuff stolen you want to get hurt or assaulted. The drugs are sold openly here really thats all this place is about. How the city of Victoria allows our beautiful city to be taken over is completely beyond words. The sad part is this not helping our homeless issue it is enabling far worse issues in downtown Victoria that NO politicians want to deal with. We need to as a city start voting for things to change before it is to late. It’s always someone else’s problem. Police say just avoid the area. Why do we as every day people that work and pay taxes and support the Victoria economy have to stay away??? Is it our city or the homeless city.? We better soon decide before everything that downtown Victoria is and the beauty it has is completely gone.

very poor treatment of tenants. not one tenat is given or has access to thier lease, no rent reciepts are given, but are quick to evict for non payment of rent. weekly occurance of tenants getting food poisoning from continental brakfast that includes yogurt preparedv 15 hours before serving, and left out on counters until morning. illegal evictions are common place. PHS illegaly demands i.d. from sny guest then turns over, automatically all info to vic p.d.. the list is endless PHS will not even let tenants know if they are living undewr an S.R.O. tenency or a normal tenancy. the 1st of many arbitration cases is being held today, to find ouit what the rules of the BUILDING ARE, A SRO OR NORMAL TENEACY, A QUESTION THATS HAS BEEN REFUSED TO BE ANSWERED FOR 8 MONTHS AND HAS HAD TO HAVE HAD AN ARBITRATION CASE FILED TO GET THIS BASIC ANSWER.....ANSWERED PHS is sujpposewd to be a caring, supportive , non profit aqgency to help trhe hard to house have decent living areas , but the tenants in the worst S.R.O's in the D.E.S. have more protection than the J.S.H Tenats , as they at leastr have a set of rules that they can access and use to file cases. PHS has even started paying extremely poor , drug addicted tenants to do the jobs that the nSupport Workers are to highly trained to do...ie, clean showers, abd many other disgusting jobs. it started out at 20$ FOR 60 MINUTES OFD WORK, but after 3 days of a lioving 1 hour wage being paid, PHS decided that 10$ an hour for a minimum of 90 minutes of afore mentioned jobs is the most they will pay the people they claim to want to protect. at 8$ an hour, they wont even pay the starvation min wage B.C. has, and will notr change the rate because as several workers openly say, there junkies, theuy will lick the floor for 10$\ PHSn is a terrible gaurdian of Victorias most troubled tenants
