I have worked at the Astoria for 5 years now and I have loved every minute of it! The energy when you walk into the building is truly remarkable. It feels like home. The residents and my fellow team members are like friends and family to me and they never fail to brighten my day. The Astoria will forever hold a special place in my heart.

I recommended the astoria to my parents and they absolutely love being there. The staff are excellent. The food is great. Lots of things for them to do.

Caring. All staff cheerfully go out of their way to maintain a feeling of family and community ....not only on the premises ... frequently Dawn from reception will take little gifts or a lunch and visit residents who are temporarily in hospital. Excellent food, rich and varied entertainment programs & excursions. Additionally, a nice rotation of world class entertainers are engaged for happy hour, ice cream socials, High Tea .....very much like living in a stationary cruise ship. XoXo 🌷❤

Best Independent/Assisted Living building in Tricities. Respectful, fun, stimulating with an atmosphere that has you living in a 5 star Hotel...not an "old age home". Top marks. Dad has enjoyed his life there.

Was there for tour about a year ago, researching private assisted living facilities in the area. Nice building, great interior, tasty food. I think overall it's a great place to live. One thing I did not like - it's a bit too far for seniors to walk to do their shopping and I did not see any pharmacy at a block-distance from this lovely place. However, if you not a major shopper - you will love this place. Loved their sea-theme decorations. All other amenities are very close (Senior Center, Recreational Center, Library, etc)
