Visited a friend last Friday and was astounded at the deplorable state of the building and most of all of my friends room, and of course as well as other. Not even a chair for visitors or the residents to sit on. Have been in many PCH's and have never seen such conditions. Red River is definitely NOT "respecting" the seniors they are supposed to serve in their advanced years. This must be a private organization. Should be no scores at all.

Red River Place is horrible facility and needs to be investigated asap! The administrator runs this place like she owns it: she ignores reports of abuse, favors certain staff, employs her friends to do jobs that don't need to have a desginated person (e.g. paying a nurse for an 8-hr day to screen people which at times the person would only do that at 7 a.m. OR paying another friend to distribute incontinence products). The administrator does everything to save money, even if it is not safe or in the best interest of the residents or staff. Red River Place denies residents of proper incontinence products; residents wet their beds from head to toe because Red River Place refuses to give them apprioprate products (e.i. briefs) - all in the name of saving money because proper products cost the facility where as simple pull ups are at the expense of the residents' families. The HCAs do 2 sets of rounds to change residents but by the next round some residents are drenched in urine. The facility presents the narrative as "respecting their dignity" as to why they don't put them in appropriate incontinent products. There is a need for major repairs: beds are old and most are broken; machines are defective. This causes unsafe transfers and worker injuries. Staffing is an issue every where but this place purposely under staffs to save money. At times, they cancel staff and agency, there is about 80 beds and some days there could be as little as 7 HCAs on days, 7 HCAs on evenings, and only 4 HCAs on nights. Falls happen frequently because their just isn't a safe amount of staff to keep an eye on everyone. Lastly, instead of addressing lateral violence and abuse on residents Red River Place just moves the staff member to another unit rather than addressing it. Actually, the administrator contributes to the lateral violence as she reprimands and degrades staff in front of other staff. I could go on but the issues are endless. If anyone has the option to send their loved one else where please do so!

What a disgrace of a PCH. My father had the misfortune of spending five weeks there interim care waiting to be placed in his personal care home of choice. I was able to visit him once because of ridiculous restrictions and visiting hours. When I did come my father was dishevelled unshaven his room was dirty, bed unmade, catheter bag hanging on the edge of his wheelchair for all to see My mother saw him more often and FaceTime with us and he looked terrible every single time we saw him. If you had a question for anyone you couldn’t find a Health care, nurse or anyone. The hallways were littered with soiled seniors, and you weren’t aloud to talk to them, even say hi, when escorted to my fathers room. The last three days my father spent sleeping in a hallway because of work being done to rooms. Zero dignity was given to my dad, who was a professional hockey player/executive/father/grandfather. If I ever had to spend any time there as a resident I would rather be euthanized by a vet.

If I could have given it no stars or a minus, I would have. Absolutely agree with the comments from the previous reviewer Barb, I believe it was. This should be brought to the attention of someone that has the power to do something about this place!! I was fortunately able to be there for my loved one, however there are so many currently residing there that may not have the ability to communicate the unacceptable conditions in which they are living. Deplorable. I do not want a response from Red River Place, as the aforementioned review received.

Great place to have the seniors look after.
