My mother has been at Brightwater for a year and SHE couldn’t be happier. My mom needs assistance for various daily tasks but still wants to feel independent and the staff does a great job of doing both! I live in Boston and knowing mom is so well cared for and that she’s living a full and happy life gives me unbelievable peace-of-mind. The meals, the activities, the nurses and caregivers are all the best!

Would rate this place -5 stars if i could. Residents are not cared for properly, they are left sitting in the dining room for hours at a time because of shortage of staff. Managers do not care about their staff or residents, they only care about the money and appearances. When tours come in, staff are told to make sure the facility is cleaned and put together. Once residents move in, they are left waiting for so long to the point that they need to wheel themselves around. Management will promote employees that they are related to even though they are not qualified for the position. The dining room is extremely disorganized, the dining room manager seems to have very little to no experience or knowledge in her position. Multiple complaints have been made to HR and the executive director about the disorganization in the facility, and the blatant racism shown towards the staff by management and no actions have taken place. This facility is very disorganized and has no actual regards for the residents and their well-being, and have no regards towards their staff. I would not ever leave my loved one at this place!

I have worked here for a year and half and it is the worst place to work or leave your family members for care. We are extremely short staffed and management doesn't care to hire more people. Despite the fact that the residents are paying hefty amount per month. Residents are left hanging for hours until they beg for help. The management is unqualified for the positions they hold. How, is the director holding that position when she has experience in recreational services? How come a receptionist gets promoted to business manager position? And, lets not forget the best employee dinning services manager who has no prior experience of management. She shows up to work drunk and high and spends the rest of the shift smoking with Director, Executive Director, and marketing lady. Dinning services manager is racist towards her staff and no one in higher management cares. Multiple complaints have been made to HR but no action was ever taken. I don't think you should be leaving your family members in this facility were the dinning service managers shows up to work drunk and high. Extremely toxic environment!

The DINING STAFF took one of the elderly's silverware without permission, even though she has her own silverwares that she brought when she moved in. Food takes an hour from there nowadays too. Great and clean facility, but their KITCHEN is the WORST. It takes an hour for a sandwich. They do not do first come, first serve. Their dryers need some vacuuming too. Too much lint beyond reach by the seniors.

My review dates back to March to November 2021. My father ended up in the hospital Feb '21 and was told he couldn't return to independent living in his little apt., so the family started to research retirement homes with support. We met Brightwater management and got a really great feeling about him living there. The experience for him and my family well exceeded expectations. It quickly turned into "his new home"! The staff are sooooo thoughtful, loving, friendly..... Now for the management.....so professional and they make you "the family" feel as important as your family member living there. I am not a person that leaves ratings but felt a need to. If there's something you want to discuss with management, they get back to you quickly which makes you feel important and your family member is cared for. Last but not least, to the future resident.....sign up for activities and meet new friends, my Dad had a blast playing Bingo!! from the family of RK
