Though it is an older building, the care, programs, food and sense of community is excellent.

Older building. Run down appearance. You often see rows and rows of older people in wheelchairs just sitting in the hallways for hours at a time (go to floor 3, or floor 2). They just sit there, asleep, in pain, uncomfortable. No stimulation. Staff seldom clean rooms, and bedding daily. We've observed specific bits of trash remaining on the floor for 4-5 days. Regardless of if a person is in pain/sick etc, they are forced to sit in a wheelchair everyday. Diapers are changed once or twice a day...staff have to be begged to change it. Staff can make mistakes with medication and dialysis, so family members should be aware of specific medical directions, medicine etc Tips: bring your own tv, pay for cable..whatever to keep your elderly loved one entertained. Staff are pretty clueless overall. Older filipino male nurse on 3rd floor is awful.
