Crysler Residence is a well maintained and well managed residence. The food is varied and healthy with a three week menu. Eric, the owner/operator is caring and goes above and beyond when it comes to the residents’ comfort. The facility is inspected regularly by health services, the fire department, a nutritionist, etc. Eric is constantly investing in the building, making improvements.

This residents is the worst place to have your loved ones stay. The staff is not bad but all talk behind your back. And verbally abusive to the residents. The administration are very abusive with the residents are with hold food if they do not do what is demanded of them . And they are verbally abusive to residents and visitors. I myself would not house a dog there let alone a human.

Having lived within five different homes of this type I can say as a current resident in Crysler that what makes this residence better is the owner! All residences have their own separate issues where they need improvement and Crysler residence is no different in that way but the owner Eric Borden is a very personable man who cares a great deal about each and every resident who comes to live here. Since most all the residents are on fixed incomes Eric has always made it possible for a resident to have direct access to a small stores of snacks and drinks of every kind. This is the only residence I have known that has this and since many of these residences are quite rural the residents have to rely on the owners to take them shopping once a month when their cheques are in but not here in Crysler residence because Eric shops weekly for any and all needs a resident may have and keeps the "snack room" well stocked at all times! The staff like any residence go through their own learning curves as do all residences that have new staff beginning but the review below mine by Donna Lee Frankland is pure fantasy and bordering upon slander since the Crysler residents are never withheld food for any reason whatsoever. I also get the impression that if she were a resident then she is simply disgruntled and certainly didn't stay long enough to offer an honest opinion and her tone does seem to be angry and hate filled and lastly I believe she would have been labeled a "problem resident" by the amount of distain she attempts to write yet rather poorly at that! The residents here are like any other residence and have various illness' either mentally, physically or both. The staff are trained by longterm staff and try the best that they can to accommodate your needs as a resident at all times of the day as well. The owner Eric has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars in just upkeep to this residence by installing a new roof last summer 2017 and new windows in every room last fall 2017 removed the old carpeting within the hallway and had tile flooring installed throughout the entire residence and every room where the carpeting became too aged has had that carpet removed and replaced with wood slat flooring that looks very nice. I started this long review by saying that it is the owner that makes a residence what it is and everyone who has met Eric and placed a loved one here knows that Eric goes above and beyond in order to make certain their loved one is as happy as can be. I have no intentions or need to change my residence as the Crysler residence has become my home despite it's few faults of an aging building that Eric the owner is constantly doing upgrades to I have very little to complain about. I am being as honest as I can with you since the previous reviewer was most certainly not being honest and could not have lived here long enough to offer such a negative review so I am skeptical about where she even came up with the falsehoods that she claimed about this residence! I have lived here now for three years and will stay for another twenty because Eric Borden is the owner! Every residence has faults but it is the owner that makes it good or bad and Eric is the best owner I have ever known of the five different residences I have resided in! Please, if you are seeking a new home then at least meet Eric the owner or call him before you decide on somewhere else where that owner is never there or is not generous and caring like Eric the owner here most definitely is. Thank you and I hope you appreciate my honest review as a current resident of Crysler residence which is not a retirement home for just the elderly but anyone who is retired due to disabilities. I must also add that during these times of higher costs of living anyone on a fixed income knows that their choices are sadly few and so please at least consider my words when making the hard choice in a new home for your loved one or yourself. Sincerely, Frank Healy jr.
