Nurses and rehab were decent but the admin was a nightmare. Changed Moms meds without a reason given, informed me (only after I asked) on Saturday (when all the other offices I need to make arrangements with are closed that she was being discharged Tue morning. Had to request discharge instructions and follow up info. Then they forgot to notify the follow up so when I called them asking why no one called me they didn't have any orders. Called Hartland to have them make the follow up request again and 4 days later still no word from any one. Do your self a favor an go some place else.

This is my second time being at Heartland Center for my rehab. The first time I was here because I had a knee replacement and now 4 years later I ’m here getting rehabilitation for my right ankle and Achilles heel reconstruction. When I came back this 2nd time I was so glad to see pretty much over half of the therapist's staff were still here, and a couple remembered me from 4 years earlier. I really recommend this facility for your rehab needs I promise if u do what the therapist tell you to do they will fix you right up. The food is good just as a PS. 😊👌 S. Akers

I am a CNA and I moved to Michigan from Louisiana and Heartland was my 1st CNA job. When I walked in the greeted me with a smile and the environment is welcoming and friendly. I love working at Heartland the employees are very caring towards the residents and treat them like family. At Heartland I feel like we are one big happy caring family and I couldnt see myself working anywhere else. Heartland the place where we give our residents Tender Loving Care and where are job is done from the heart. We take pride in how we care for our residents.

Their nursing and aid staff are unprofessional and lazy. They leave patients sitting in their urine so they can take a brake either to smoke or lunch. The aids have no fear of authority, they're on their phones constantly and too busy socializing. The Unit RN manager Todd is a complete joke! When therapy tells you to complain and they take you to Todd he tells you it's not his job to over see the nursing staff. When you go to his boss Lori and her boss Shannon they say absolutely that's his job. I seen a man laying on the floor in his diaper and socks he had fallen out of bed right in front of the first nurses station while they were sitting there. I told them hey a patient is on the floor !!! HELLO! I WOULDN'T LEAVE MY DOG IN THEIR CARE!!!

My dad was just released from here about 15 min ago. I'm so disappointed with this place. My dad was put on the 1st floor (basement) which looked like a dungeon everything is so outdated the bed the TV everything I was so surprised. The staff was friendly at first with him but for my dad to say that he feels like "hes just another pt" is ridiculous that is their job to take care of him and every single person there. He was with a guy next to him that couldn't walk and the guy would call n ask for help and it would take them forever to come to the point where the last couple of days he would ask my dad for help! They treat him so bad like the staff doesn't want to take care of them then I must say they have the wrong job! The place smells like urine and more upstairs. For a pt to come out of there and say I just sat there and dont feel like I came out of rehab is not ok.Either there is not the right equipment or it's just old and outdated Nd that goes with the people too. During the day there MA'S AND Nurses everywhere but when it comes to the middle of the night there is no one to be found especially in the dungeon. My dad says he feels like "my dogs wouldn't even eat this food" we took him food everyday when we would visit. I would really think about sending your loved ones here or friends I would never recommend this place to anyone!
