Our mother and father moved to the Oak Park LaSalle in Nov., 2008. They both adjusted to their comfortable new home almost immediately. They had new neighbours with whom they could interact and a caring and friendly staff available to take care of their needs. Our father has since past but our mother is still going strong, participating in many of the activities and always available to play cards with other residents. It is also very important for us to know that there is always someone there to watch over her when we are not available.

I enjoy the social programs that Oak Park LaSalle offers. I feel at home and by attending the activities and enjoying the social atmosphere I have found that the residents and staff have become like family. I look forward to the many bus outings and trips that are planned. I feel as though the food is improving and it would be nice to have our family recipes implemented to feel like a more homey-atmosphere. I like that Oak Park gives us the opportunity to involve our friends in the community to come in and share different programs such as religious groups.

I am happy to give Chartwell Oak Park LaSalle a five star rating. My wife has been a resident for a year and a half and during that time I have seen the staff perform at a very high level of competence and respond to the residents needs on a compassionate and friendly basis. The various suites are maintained very well and the services provided from the laundry department, the food and culinary department, the administrative staff, the activities coordinator have always been first class.

I have been a resident of Oak Park Lasalle for more than 3 years and thoroughly enjoy it. We are free to choose from a wide variety of programs if we so wish. The staff is competent, friendly and creates a "family" feeling for all of us. I would recommend it to anybody.

Chartwell Oak Park Lasalle continues to be an enriching and enjoyable home for our mother. Aging can become very difficult because of decreased ability to be involved in the community, including friends and relatives. Oak Park provides an opportunity to share activities and experiences with other residents who become new friends with the assistance of caring staff. Always having a nurse on duty, if ever needed, also provides a sense of security for residents and their families. Life at Oak Park Lasalle has been a blessing for our mother and for those of us who love her.
