This is a prime example of government inefficiency. I was warned by health care professionals that LHIN resorted to bullying tactics to fill beds and close case files and I have experienced first hand how true this is. LHIN forced me to place my sister, who has dementia, into a facility that is not designed and do not have the staff to care for individuals with dementia. As a result of this the staff at this facility has resorted to over medicating her to the point that she can barely function. I have repeatedly called LHIN to find out where my sister is "on the list", to be moved a more suitable facility but to date they have never bothered to even give me the courtesy of a return call.

So far our experience with CCAC has been a mixed bag. In many ways they have been awesome at getting us information and helping with our aging parents and then at other times they ask to speak to my non-existent brother and refuse to talk to me. It seems that they are severly understaffed and underbudgeted and its impacting their ability to help people in need.

The front line staff is kind, courteous, helpful and caring. As for administration, total lack of communication. Left hand has no idea what right hand is doing. Very frustrating!!
