Daughter

I am very happy with the care that my wonderfull and deserving Mom is getting at Woods Park in Barrie ....she has Dementia and is non communicative so i rely on my observation of her care ....she is always clean and well groomed and her room is clean and tidy as.well .....her care is labour intensive and i appreciate the attention she gets especially after the last few.years of pandemic and labour challenges.....it is a smaller Long Term Care Facility and for that i am thankfull for a warmer environment for us all ! Thankyou to you all from Mom June and me !

One of the worst long term care facilities I have ever worked at. Staff are rude to eachother. No communication between nurses and staff. Nurses are mean to staff. No air conditioning so your trying to do your job but dying of heat. Always short staffed and you get bullied. At the end of the day not worth it to work here. Also you are not allowed to wear your scrubs there you have too change there which just makes life harder.

I cannot Think of a better place than Woods Park for my mom who is living with dementia to live her last years. They have gone above and beyond for my mom, the staff that takes care of her I could not ask for better and caring people, they know all my mom‘s likes and dislikes down to cutting the crust off her bread. I would not want her to be any place else, and I am so thankful to have them all from the office staff to the kitchen staff maintenance staff PSW’s and nurses I know she is in very good hands and is safe and that helps me sleep at night thank you Woods Park love you all

WPCC is one of the worst homes I’ve worked. I use to think nursing homes are not the best place for a loved one but this one brought that to whole new level. Staff is rude, don’t respond to residents in a timely manner. Residents are not cared for properly, they only care about funding that comes through “sick residents” and think the residents are nothing. I see no staff on the floor during afternoon when someone requires assistance. Only a few good staff members working. This place is like a prison, dull and rude. Not all units need to be locked units on the floors, it did not have the freedom that residents should have. I will never work here again, let alone put my loved one there. To summarize, never bring your loved one here.

Our experience at Woods Park (long term care) has been exemplary. The staff are kind and compassionate. They are accessible and informative. The food is very good. We couldn't ask for a better place for our mother.

Our family cannot express deeply enough our gratitude for the the wonderful and professional care our Mother received at Woods Park Care Center, not only in her years as a resident in retirement but in her final days in their long term care. Every need of Mom's was met with their professional and caring team. They were attentive, present, caring, answered all questions and allowed us to make decisions and participate in Mom's care to the end. Not one single time did we feel she was not receiving the best care ever. Mom's wish was to spend her final days at Woods Park, a place she consider home and her extended family. We were welcome to stay with our Mother as long as we needed to and therefore were able to be there when she passed. Karen, you and your team are a blessing to our elderly.
