Wonderful caring space for seniors to live and receive support!

Aug 9, 2018
My father had a short stay at this Residence. He was transferred from Joseph Brant Hospital to a transition bed at Christopher Terrace the afternoon of Tues July 10th. On Fri July 13th he was sent back to the hospital with a high fever, low blood count and low oxygen levels as well as in 3 diapers. At the hospital they treated him for the above and Friday afternoon he was sent back to Christopher Terrace. The family was assured by both the hospital and Christopher Terrace that everything my father needed was in place at Christopher Terrace. When we arrived there we were informed that there was no oxygen for him. The company the Hospital uses was told they could not deliver the oxygen because Christopher Terrace uses a different company. The company Christopher Terrace uses would not get the oxygen to my dad for another 2 hours. The paramedics did not have enough oxygen to last 2 hrs so my dad was sent back to the hospital. Due to this my father became quite distressed and his condition worsened. On July 19th my father passed away. Christopher Terraces manager told me that the hospital should not have "DUMPED" my father on their doorstep. No one is willing to step up and take responsibility for this calamity. Not the hospital or Christopher Terrace. It seems neither of them wanted my father. Also, my mother now has to pay for the transference of my father to and from Christopher Terrace as well as for the 2 1/2 days my father spent there. It feels like all these institutions care about is the bottom line. Not the human being. If I could I would have rated lower than 1 star.

I recently had the opportunity to hear some stories about great service. A friend's mother recently stayed at Christopher Terrace while convalescing after a surgery. The experience was so great, she's telling everyone she can, and is making plans to move there when the time is right for her. The staff is great, and it really makes her retirement plans stress-free.

The staff and management team are friendly and caring. They do everything they can to make sure all of the residents are happy and enjoy their time at Christopher Terrace. It is really a lovely place!

I know first hand that this retirement home has wonderful staff that care about the residents. Its close proximity to Roseland Plaza makes it a convenient five minute walk. This retirement home has upgraded suites each with their own full bathroom, closet and adjustable heating and air conditioning. Brand new windows are currently being installed throughout the entire building. There are many scheduled indoor activities from bingo to puzzles, card games to smoohies, and even a java music club. Day trips to the mall and other places of interest. Afternoon entertainer's like singers and musician's. Some days you'll even find a local vendor setting up shop down in the popular 'Bistro' cafe or the big comfy 'lounge' area to sell some goods.
