My mother moved from her home where she had lived for 60 years to Avondale this summer. We have found the staff to be so welcoming to her as the transition took time. It's wonderful to see them all greet her by her name. The fact that there is a doctor who comes to the residence for weekly visits, nursing staff and PSW's for my mom has made the move so much easier for her family. We don't worry any more. My mother has now met with other residents, something she didn't have the opportunity to do while living on her own in her home. The social aspect of this is wonderful. She has been able to join in the many activities offered to residents including weekly communion and monthly Catholic mass, movies, art etc. She enjoys the many music events, especially Pub Night. We are looking forward to the many events coming up this holiday season. Thank you to all the staff, from the welcoming receptionists, general manager, the lifestyle & program manager and student, and all the kitchen and wellness staff. If we needed anything fixed the maintenance manager had it done immediately. And wasn't it wonderful that the sales manager did all the barbeque cooking! All in all - a great experience for her and us.

My mom is at Avondale. Avondale is a warm and welcoming residence. Staff are very professional. They provide many activities both inside and out. Residents seem very content. Meals are well balanced. Roo.s and retirement home is very clean.
