Mandates have been lifted and this home still doesn’t allow unvaccinated into the home cause they have their OWN policy!! They want to protect their residents, but they are allowing staff to go up to their floor without having to wait for results like visitors have to.My mother has been in isolation a handful of times DUE to being in close contact with a worker. Talk about jeopardizing my mother, and they’re worried about ME, who WAITS for results and is NEGATIVE when I go up!! Being the POA and I cannot check on my mothers well being because of discrimination!!

My grandma was there for about a year maybe longer, when I visited Monday through Friday the staff was always nice and friendly. When my grandma passed away the staff treated her with dignity and respect. Her room mate even played music for her during the day. It may not be the best but it’s definitely not the worst.

just felt compelled to write something after reading the negative reviews....my parents have been at Copper Terrace for a year now....and they have been treated with respect and dignity from day one.....the staff that I engage with....are polite.....and helpful.....to the best of their ability....when someone does not make it in for their shift...I see the effects on the other staff......I can only speak for myself with what I see....the girls I see weekly are genuine, caring and trying to do the best they can with the resources they have been given......I appreciate each and every person who keeps my parents room clean and cares for both of my parents based on their needs....I am grateful to all those involved with getting my parents into their own room where my mum can be a wife again to her husband......so I say...cheers to all at Copper Terrace....for doing the best you can.....our governments needs to step up......to help these long term care facilities.

Have launched a formal complaint to the MOHLTC with regards to the operation and management of this facility. Within a month of my grandmother being admitted, she passed away. I visited with her three times during that month she was there, and saw things that frankly disturbed me. From miscommunication between the various workers and departments, to personal belongings and items that mysteriously went "missing" (which they always blamed on the laundry guys), I could write a book about what I witnessed during that time... Please think LONG and hard if you've considered admitting your loved one into this facility. If you recall the movie "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", it's pretty close as to what goes on. I suggest you watch that movie if you want to gain further insight as to how they run the show here. Be warned.

Definitely one of Chatham's older Long-Term Care facilities. Outdated, understaffed, and quite frankly, STINKS. Toilets don't flush properly in either the public washrooms or the patient rooms. Urinal in men's room downstairs is foul smelling, toilet seat is broken, even the elevators don't work properly here. Windows look as if they haven't been cleaned in years. Dusty radiators, light fixtures, wall fixtures, etc. Residents appear forlorn, unkempt, and depressed. Poorly maintained grounds, rusting furniture everywhere, overgrowth, weeds, and half-dead trees litter the entire lot. Administrators appear aloof and indifferent. I don't know exactly who is in charge of this place (if anyone), but for a Long-Term Care facility, this is a disgrace and completely unacceptable. I'm pulling my mother out of here as soon as I can get her into Riverview Gardens, just around the corner from here. A run-down cesspit.

Left my grandma for 3 weeks not making sure she ate or drank anything, she was afraid too because no one would help her to the bathroom. Ended up in emerg malnourished and dehydrated, they make me sick not informing anyone of her condition. Do not send any elderly people there!
