The patients are treated great! The care is considerate and loving. Extremely considerate of the patients families. All concerns are addressed timely and in a nice manner. Thanks so much! Highly recommend.

My mother recently stayed for several weeks. Heartland was referred to us by many, and the reviews were better than average. I have helped my mom through several rehab facilities over the years, so we had some predisposition of what to possibly expect. I think they have a great, clean, facility - 5 star Their PT staff was excellent and responsive - 5 star Timeliness of receiving assistance for diaper changing - 2.5 star. This was a consistent problem. The response was inconsistent. My father and I had raised our concerns several times. Two times, I asked to speak to the highest levels of management for both the facility as well as nursing. Each time I was told they were in a meeting. I left my details and never received a call back. A third time, I called the care number that you'll see ownership mention in these reviews. I received a prompt email response which indicated I should be contacted soon. This was roughly 10am. I finally received the call from their management staff around 3pm. To their credit, I don't believe we had issues with diaper changing past that point. Meals - I can only share that my mother described them as very bland. She complained about meals such as a ravioli served without sauce, and advertised on the menu that day as such. This is a tricky topic because there are many different dietary needs in a facility like this. I can't rate it, but I also think there could be room for improvement. Overall, it is definitely one of the nicer facilities we have been to. We would return again if needed. As in any facility such as this, you must remain engaged constantly as a supporting family member to ensure the proper levels of care are being met. It's very taxing, but it is what it is (unfortunately).

Heartland is a great choice for therapy. Their team is excellent and makes sure you are prepared to return home. As a professional who transitions residents this is great stepping stone to bringing your loved one from the hospital to rehab to home.

I have been working here for almost three months and can not say enough for how welcoming and supportive the environment has been! I stepped into a position new to me and my fellow team members were immediately ready to help me learn! I walk through the halls catching smiles from patients and staff alike. The facility is full of visitors, events, and happy people. I couldn't have asked for a better place to call home!

Heartland Oakland is a great place to work! Everyone is so nice and friendly. The Nursing staff, therapy department, dietary aides and housekeepers are all so helpful and kind. The DON and Administrator are always smiling and friendly. Working with the patients and seeing them improve is the best part of my job!
