For those of you who feels this Seniors home is a fair place. Read on. I applied for a position there.I have many years many hours doing the same position I applied for. I was not hired on.Why ??? Because there prejudice against people who express themselves. I am a Transgender.(male to female)..So because of this they felt my skills n knowledge .Were not important enough. Because of my decision to exercise my rights and live the way I have chosen. Discriminate against one chouce. This is 2018 we have rights just like everyone else. These office staff have no idea on accepting human rights of ones desire. I have filed with the Ministry on this Discrimination suite I am seeing through to the end. I just wanted to open the eyes of so many. I see this Seniors centre has many reviews on senior abuse. Glad my parents never had to live like this.

My mother lived at Bella for nearly two years until her recent passing. She had exceptional care and I couldn't have been happier with the love and compassion shown by all of the staff with whom I had contact. Mom loved living there, she was happier than she had been for years, both living on her own and at a seniors' residence. I can't say enough about what a great place Bella was for my mother and for me as her health deteriorated. When the day comes that I can no longer take care of myself, Bella would be my choice for LTC.

I personally know a couple of the nurses through mutual friends. A bigger lady named joyelle has told me she gets medications from the old people they don't notice it missed, as well as joy has told myself and plenty of other s she has witnessed a nurse man handling and abusing seniors named Beth who is her good friend. I am concerned people aren't Gettin the medications they need and believe more secure precautions should be taken while handling medications or storing them. Also I have witnessed the nurses doing drugs in their lunch breaks and returning to work under the influence. I hope someone looks into this more because it's quite disturbing. I had family in there and am sick to my stomach about it.
