Chartwell Oakville is a great place to live and work. I've been working here for 6 years and counting and honestly couldn't be happier. Thanks to Chartwell Oakville, I realized that my passion is working with older adults. The people working and living there are the ones who make this place fun and enjoyable. The residents are friendly, fun and full of life. The management and staff in each department go above and beyond to make every day better. I highly recommend Chartwell Oakville as a home for yourself or your loved ones. If you are looking for work, there are lots of great career opportunities as well.

My husband and I volunteer at Chartwell Oakville each week and they have been so welcoming and kind to us over the past year. The Lifestyle and Programs Manager, Claudia, is wonderful and she has created many fun activities and games for the residents. We absolutely love going there and it makes our week to spend time with the regulars who come and play the horseraces with us. I highly recommend Chartwell Oakville for it's cleanliness, friendly staff and the wonderful residents that live there!

I have worked at Chartwell Oakville for over 2 years now and love what I do each day. I get to interact with amazing residents that live with us and learn a little about them each day, so many experiences they truly amaze me. I love working where the team really cares about our moms, dads, grandmas and grandpas, I know I make a difference each day.

I just graduated from the Social Service Worker Gerontology Program at Sheridan College, during my first year I did my 4 month placement at Chartwell Oakville. I learned so much from Lifestyles and Program Manager Claudia, as well as learning from the residents. The staff at Chartwell Oakville are all very friendly. To this day I still visit and will always be grateful for Chartwell Oakville giving me a positive experience in my future career!

I am a soon to be graduate of Sheridan College's Social Service Worker Gerontology program, and for my second year's practicum, (8 months) I interviewed with Claudia at Chartwell Oakville Retirement Residence. Thankfully I was accepted for the position of student volunteer, why thankfully? Because I was able to work with such wonderful and caring staff, and residents. Chartwell staff treat all residents with great respect and want the best for them, often they ask residents for ways to improve their time at Chartwell, and Chartwell acts on these statements. The kitchen staff do their best to serve tasty and filling meals, and will work with residents to create new meals based on their feedback. The support staff treat all residents with respect, and our front desk receptionists and office managers go above and beyond to help each resident with any issues or problems they are having. It was an amazingly wonderful and enlightening learning opportunity for me, I could not have asked for a more caring and kind supervisor (Claudia, Lifestyle and Programs Manager), Assistant supervisor (Miranda), and General Manager (Drew) they not only go above and beyond for residents, (Such as Chartwell's signature program Wish of a Lifetime) but also for their students and staff. I highly recommend any Social Service Workers / PSW students to do their practicum here, as well as any prospective residents to take a tour, we have a wonderful sales lead (Robin) and wonderful resident ambassadors. It was a pleasure and honour to be a part of the Chartwell team. -Jonathan Pacheco
