Heartland Grosse Pointe's Social Worker had me scrambling for transportation at the last hour after telling me that they could not transport my family member to long term care that was within the area. Once his insurance told me that it was not covered under his plan, I had to try to get some kind of transportation resource. The program is just okay. The staff seemed caring and nice enough...but if you are looking for support...DO NOT ENLIST THE HELP OF THEIR SOCIAL WORKER, ALISSA. SHE IS TERRIBLE! I just want to update this post as it relates to the Administrator NOT replacing my family member's wheelchair. She asked me to remove the negative post but has done nothing to replace the chair. This is not right. Not right at all. He had a nice wheelchair when he arrived and while he was there it came up missing. All I want is the chair replaced. Nothing has been done. Next step will be writing corporate office.

Aides are mean. They laugh at your clothes and when "changing" you (because sometimes you have to be changed) they laugh when they don't think you see them. The entire staff is mean. They laugh at you. The food is ALWAYS cold, even the oatmeal is cold, now you know how dance oatmeal is, right? Then you should also know it stays warm for an extended period of time...not this oatmeal, its cold! The food, if it isn't cold, its nasty The only positive, 5 star ratings are from people who work there or did work there. I wish I had read these reviews before going there!, now I'm stuck there! HELP!

Ive been employed with the company for 2 years now and had the pleasure with working with the best co-workers! Great facility, great team! We always made sure that our number one priority is patient care and excellent customer service.

The worst place ever. Don't send your loved one's there. The Doctor is a liar, Social worker (Alissa) is incompetent. No parking spots ever. The alleged good government rating is bullcrap. Stay away from Heartland! No compassion, no service -they just take the insurance money, but don't give the patients the care they deserve. The Doctor has NEVER called back. Don't waste your time calling the 800 number after management posts a lame reply. A couple nurses were fairly helpful, but that's it.
