Both of my parents are living very happily at the Manor Village. The Staff, EVERYONE (from Maintenance, Front Office and especially the Nursing Staff) are amazing and so very helpful with whatever they need. We couldn't be happier as a family to have them looked after by loving people. Thank you to all of the Staff!!

On the evening of April 7th we received a call from Manor Village that my Mom had passed away. We were in complete shock. All the family gathered very quickly to be with her. We were astounded at all of the support from all of the staff from the minute we raced in the door. They were so attentive to all of us, especially my Dad....her husband of almost 54 years. We hadn't met any of the evening staff or overnight staff as we always visited my Mom during the day. They were all wonderful, kind and caring and hugged us and offered their sincere sympathies. They would miss her too. We truly appreciate their extraordinary compassion and guidance that night and the wonderful care she received for the last three years. We will be forever grateful. My mom has dementia and luckily accepted by the Manor Village retirement home two months ago. All the nurses, PSWs, doctors and managers are working extremely hard there to provide these seniors with the best care services. They are not only doing their daily jobs professionally, but also treat these seniors as their own family members. One day, I visited mom at her breakfast table, mom proudly showed me her two hands, I noticed that her nails were polished and painted with beautiful colors. Mom told me that she never painted her nails in her life, she always wanted to. Now, her little dream came true in this place, even though she cannot remember who did it for her. She smiled like a child. This moment makes my eyes wet. I looked around and all PSWs, nurses were busy to take great care of every seniors living there. Thank you all.

My mother was one of the first residents at the Manor Village. For fear of isolation, we brought her out for 18 months during the pandemic, but otherwise she lived there until her she passed away last week. At first she needed a bit of PSW assistance, but was fairly independent. We appreciated that her care increased responsively as her needs became greater. At the time of her passing she was bedridden and dependent in every aspect of her care. Particularly since Christmas, we are very thankful for the excellent care she received from the staff of 4West, and in particular, Maria and Rose, her primary day and evening day PSWs. The Executive Director, Cindy and Director of Wellness, Liji were also helpful and responsive in meeting with us as my mother’s care needs changed. My mother had a strong personality and they all embraced it. Over the years we’ve come to realize that we don’t need the organization to be perfect, but we do need it to get her care right. Between being able to communicate about her needs, and having a very caring staff, they did.

Poor management lack of care increased our existing family issues much more than they needed to be.. rather than accommodating us and welcoming us to care for and visit my Mother - they made it difficult while the hands-on staff did their best. Lovely care givers but the home is lacking. They are profit driven only - don't fool yourself with the nice photos and caring tour. Their goal is profit over care when you look closer. Unfortunate. But Thank you to the hands on staff that do care!
