This nursing facility does not even deserve the 1 star I gave it. My father was here briefly. In the time that he was here, he had new clothing items to "disappear", he fell very hard doing serious damage to his arm and had to be in the hospital, developed a stage 3 pressure wound, from not being turned properly, which became infected. My mother and sister, who were there every day, were NOT told about the pressure wound, although Jennifer Low, said that they were told. Flat out Lie. My family discovered this as my sister walked into the room and saw an aid quickly cover it with a large bandage and was told not to take it off for 3 days. This was the day he was leaving this horrible facility and going into hospice care. The hospice nurse was horrified at this pressure wound. He was absolutely neglected in this facility, and Jennifer Low is more focused on taking care of her baby , that she brings to work with her, than she is making sure these patients are being taken care of. She was very nasty and rude to my sister, and would not even look at the horrifying pictures of my father's pressure wound. My father was in a lot of pain because of this. DO NOT put your loved one in this facility. It needs to be shut down.

We were happy with the level of care and compassion given to a family member at Highlands Home. The nursing staff, PT and OT were great.

Let's face it. HH is NOT a hospital. It's a nursing home/rehabilitation facility. I worked along side some very caring Co workers. They love the residents. The staff I worked along side did everything in their power to catch any little thing wrong with our residents. There are several occasions where I saw the administrator and the DON go over and beyond to please family members and residents. They are the customer. There has been also cases where the family could not be pleased and administration risked great employees to make the family members happy. The facility was clean. You could not find a more caring staff. I am giving them a satisfactory rating because there is always room for improvement. I feel that as a caregiver that the public should come and volunteer their time and see what work is involved in taking care of our elders. I wish HH all the best. I really do. Rome was not built over night, however; it was built!

This place does not even deserve one star. My grandfather ended up with horrible bed sores, which the facility tried to hide. My mother went in person to talk to the director of this place, Jennifer Low, who was VERY RUDE and AWFUL to my mother! She tried to lie her way out of it. And basically just wanted to run her off and said she could see her in court!??? Who says that!? I am completely shocked and appalled by this. Because of these actions, I will be informing EVERYONE of our experience and to think twice about sending their loved ones to this awful place. And there is no reason to even respond to my review and act like you care to talk about this matter when your facility tried to run off my mother who was there to do exactly that. In life, it actually does matter how you treat people. What goes around will definitely come back around.

Best long term Rooms of any facility I’ve been to in the state and that’s a whole lot and my mother gets great care and loves it.
